Not too sure about EY and KPMG. But PwC IT consulting is not managed by other companies. It is basically seperated into 2 division which is Risks Assurance Services that is more towards IT consulting and System and Process Assurance which is more towards IT audit for the purpose of audit support. As far as I know, both the departments are still hiring. Hope this info help

Definately NO

I have worked in EY Msia and currently in KPMG Sg.

They have their own IT Auditors/Consultant.

RAS- EY (I think)
IRM - KPMG

A few years ago, the Big 5 (including Andersen) mostly divested their consulting arms except Deloitte but if i'm not mistaken, the move is to reverse that decision now. IT Audit =/= IT Consulting. We are both consultants but the service lines we provide to clients differ. From Deloitte's perspective:

Enterprise Risk Services (ERS):
Apps Integrity
Control Assurance
ERM
Fraud Controls
Internal Audit
SOX Consulting
IT Security

Consulting (DCM):
Enterprise Apps
Human Capital
Outsourcing
Strategy and Ops
Tech Integration

Well, from what the partners told me, the recruitment for General Audit is being frozen for fresh graduates however some people on LYN insist that they just recently got in so i guess no harm trying. There is though a huge gap for experienced people especially Audit Seniors.

Means they do not prefer any audit seniors?

Honestly, yeah, the current situation, alot big four freeze hiring, a few friend of mine graduated from Monash Uni, still waiting for reply,

3 years back when the market was booming, i got a few offers way before my final exam and they never even bother to get a copy of my degree when I finally graduated.

So, better dun be too picky

Yup, KPMG started with pay cut but subsequently dropped the plan due to the Job Credit, now only managers are affected and OT abolish. But EY is sort of like 'counselling' the seniors to leave.

PWC wise i think freeze hiring.

Yes, but this are the Risk Management service lines. Not consulting.

I have tried to send a few resume for friends to my HR but none got any reply yet.

Guess, they are not or maybe very very minimal...
