I think mine also got the gearbox mounting problem. When at low speed (gliding), got krukk krukk krukk sound doh.gif

Those who had their gearbox mounting changed, how long did it take for the service?
*
waited 2 weeks for parts and it took 2 hrs to change.

I feel Ori brake pad not really good coz noisy(already change 2x still noisy).
I may be next try Bendix Stealth/Ultimate/Titanium series refer:
Front : http://www.lelong.com.my/bendix-ultimate-f...6-09-Sale-P.htm

Rear: http://www.lelong.com.my/bendix-metal-king...6-07-Sale-P.htm

Other option TRW(cheap) or Rapid Stop(RS) or Ferodo(Made in Rep. Czech) refer:
http://www.mudah.my/Ferodo+500c+brake+pad+...2724.htm?last=1

For comfort drive I feel Ferodo or Bendix Stealth suitable & Bendix Titanium & RS for performance.

The sharp sound especially in the morning or start moving. COE already replace both the Disc & Pad, free of charge within warranty period but sometime the sound still occur. My 9+ years old Myvi never had this problem, just change my Myvi brake pad with Hitachi OEM Japan, driving & braking feel very comfort & confident. Both my Exora & Myvi use Yokohama Cdrive2 tyre.

jemmiRewlzthe Bendix front brake pads are not compatible with EB CFE, take note.

My spare part shop at Jln. Batu Tiga Klang mentioned they can order Bendix or Ferodo pad for my Exora CFe. Will double confirm with them. My main target after warranty expire this July may change the pad with Ferodo or Hitachi(if available). Last time using Bendix in my Wira 1.8 feel not so comfort(more like performance).

Anyone encountered this before? At traffic lights, still at "D", but car cannot move...CVT warning light came up.  Had to switch off engine and re-start, then everything back to normal.

Should I be concerned? Which SC in JB to go to for best problem solving?

Thanks!
*
Anybody had this problem? Any advice on SC in Johor Bahru? Thanks!

Hi.. Newbie here.. Plan to buy exora cfe.. Looking for family car.. Have 2, 10months babies and 3.5 years old child.. Is this car really worth? My criteria are best handling, bigger space (2 car seat at 1 time), sound/noise proof/isolation, fuel consumption, engine power, after sales and spare parts, service or maintainnace price... Does this car meet these requirements? What do you think? Thx

bigger space (2 car seat at 1 time) - I feel yes if compare with any car or small mpv
sound/noise proof/isolation - Not really but can adjust(DIY)
fuel consumption - good if follow speed limit but most owner love to test the turbo power brows.gif
engine power - good if compare with other 1.6 engine (don't compare it with 2.4 engine)
after sales - nearly same with other Proton(depend on market)
spare parts, service or maintainnace price - within warranty not much issue(proton will replace) but after warranty buy from spare part shop(we all know the (over)price at all SC). Try asking/compare tyre price at SC & tyre shop.

since you own a stream, only fair that u try out the exora yourself with your family and see what they think.
i think space and performance wise should be fairly similar between the two, but the stream interior and finishing will feel more premium.

Hi. I'm new here. Just got my EB a week ago. Trade in the 4 year old exora cps. Notice a big diff in term of power, sound insulation and handling( I think of the bigger tire now). Hopefully fuel consumption can be close to my previous cps 600km on full tank.

Welcome bro, as alexei mention, and thru my experience it's hard to get that consumption in city drive.

you can. but of cause got to be very patient with the right foot. don't always over dose the turbo. its ok once a while to test the power. at any situation just play the RPM at 3000 and below. i'm practicing this for last few month and consistence getting 630-640KM for full tank.

the moment you heard tat little turbo spooling sound, you just want to plant your right foot further down the throttle pedal. tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif Then when it comes to corners you'll wonder "OMG, is this really a van?" while you're wrestling with the steering, fighting the body roll with ease.
