are the exora 16" sports rim lighter (in weight) than the steel rims or just purely for aesthetics only?

i was at accessory shop to get coil mat for exora. the guy noticed my exora is new and recommended me to buy air filter for the aircon, he even showed me an empty filter tray which he took from behind the storage drawer. so it is neccessary to get this? why did proton have this tray but no filter given?

oh i see, i didnt really notice that it was net type filter, cos he took it out and it looked like a empty box plastic tray. yeah, he told me to get the paper type. but he was charging me RM80 for it. luckily didnt take cos i saw online around 25-30/piece.

yeah, my executive version mc2 doesnt have coil mat as standard, only the fabric mat type, proton sales persons also didnt give.

Can DIY using RM5 polyester filter net material from DAISO. Taken from their cooker hood filter section.

thanks for the tip, maybe i'll just leave it as it is.
but have to learn to remove the net filter and clean it once in a while.

Better early than late. The thing about aircon blower is that, if you have an ineffective filter, the dust will stick on the fan blades. To clean the fan blades, the aircon needs to be disassembled and new gas needed.

It's a RM20 vs RM200 problem.
*
hmmm, i'll drop by daiso to see anything useful then.

nghjI think that one won't work leh?
*
it does, it's a pretty flexible setup.
there are 2 suckers, so u stick them in the corner of the window.
through the hole in the suckers, u thread the string which serves like a curtain rail for the nylon cloth.

i find it better than the 'electrostatic stick on glass' sun shield cos i have no problem winding the window up/down with this type.

leolancer what kind of rattling sound? when i drive very slowly sometimes got 'chok chok' sound, i think is the gearbox clutch slipping? your service center is beside the Store shopping mall?

i dont think u can get any other after market armrest cos those are for exora without armrest in the first place.

Exactly the same problem as mine, got it fixed on 1st week received it.  How come the same prob. keep on rolling, don't proton aware the feedback from SC?
*
which branch you serviced your car?

looks like this problem is rather widespread, i hope all the SC (main proton branch, or wakil servis) knows abt this problem and can fix it, hate to go the the nearest SC to find them unaware of it.

My SC is near The Store Pandan Indah. Nice fellas actually the few of them.

Hard to explain, its like " prrrttt " when decelerate, but slight sound.
*
how much were you charged for the first service @ 1000k?
i'm closer to the 'wakil servis' in Pandan Jaya (near Maybank) but depending on level of service, level of satisfaction, waiting time, price, etc i might consider going to Pandan Indah.

Thanks.

Anyone here encountered a "ketonnggg" sound at d rear when going over a bump? I would be devastated if it's the absorber sound...no warranty on that if it's d absorber....
*
yeah, it happens when the back of the car is heavy (loaded with passengers), i'm planning to highlight it during my first service.
no waranty for it?

is this consider good car? how out the fuel consumption? is it ok?
*
what is your criteria for a good car?

like mentioned by alexei, best price in the range (of 7 seaters).
if you need more space or have more passengers, this wins over the alza, the other popular local cheap '5+2 MPV'.

fuel consumption, i'm still figuring it out, but it differs greatly between city drive, highway drive or combination.
