UNFORTUNATELY, the rattling sound from the left side, when driving at low speed is still there. It is not caused by the boot cover.

My worries are, it is caused by either the VVT or CVT.

I need help from some of you going to service their EB soon.
First, drive with the left hand side windows down. Go slowly, at around 40 kmh. As the car glides without acceleration, do you also hear random rattling sound?

Please check with your SC for opinion. I checked with Penang SC, and one white shirt guy told me it is brake disc cover and tightened the front wheel mounting. I find this a little disappointing, as I know the noise is not from there...

Luxury Blue didn't look so luxurious.. The Elegant Brown or any brownish color suits Exora more. My 2 cents.

Getting excited on SP. I actually wished for these last month :

- 4 airbags ...... fufilled!
- metallic blue color ... ... almost (still blue but gotta how blue is blue shown in the photo above
- improved tail-light (current one looks ugly like a footprint) ..... hmm.. not bad

Now lets see if the the pricing is "threatening" or not to my budget. (if its a threat... can still wait year end rebate =)

New problem liao

Handbrake tak makan at all..i park (neutral gear) at outside house compound which a bit incline..my eb roll itself backward. WTH?!?

I check already, the handbrake is all the way up..u can actually just push the eb for it to roll. Now i put the gear in P to hold the car from rolling, i hope it doesnt stress the cvt locking mechanism.

Luckily never hit neighbors wall or any kids/person walking. Imagine if park at steep hill, confirm can kill many people

End of rant. Car fully service by Proton SC. Mileage 56,000km.

I got the same problem... end up just car battery holder loose. I tighten it and the problem goes away. I recommend to stack another nut to avoid the same problem happened.

just change my stock tyres to michelin primacy 3ST, RM400 per donut plus RM20 for balancing. Today sent to Setapak SC to upgrade the copper nipple and made a various complaints regarding;

1) Overcrank issues
2) Engine dies off when reverse
3) Bouncing driver seat
4) Radiator fans sometimes not working
5) Brake pedal got 'krik' sound

just got a call from them, my car will be ready tomorrow evening.

Radiator fan not working? Is it when engine switch off, it doesn't turn?

Alas, it is not the battery holder.

It depends on radiator temp when switch off. If above 90C, then it will spin.

the pattern is not normal and got sound like 'tak' 'tak', it seem the fan struggling to turn on...need to turn on the engine again to activate the cooling fan.

Maybe share what I know. After engine shutoff, the water pump for turbo module continues to function. You can hear 'zzzz' sound near the turbo module, and it can be traced along the turbo coolant hose just a few inches away. Together with this, I could hear 'bloop... bloop...' sound, like coolant boiling or moving along the hoses, into the radiator.

Do you observe something similar?

I think the tak tak sound, probably comes from the exhaust/metal cooling down.
Mine also have this sound, but I'm not too worried, cause some cars do have this sound.

Also, mine also, sometimes the fan doesn't run after shutting down the first time, but the water pump still does run (by hearing the water sound).

Sometimes I just turn it into ON position for few seconds, then turn off ignition ; you don't need to start the engine.
Yes, it will run after that, but sometimes it doesn't. Depends.

Again I'm not to worried, cause like alexei says, probably haven't hit the 90C threshold yet.
It's not compulsory to try run the fan for 2nd time, but just me, I prefer to have the fan running, for assurance feeling, so that the radiator coolant temperature is cooler, so that the turbo gets cooled down properly. (Sometimes I even open my bonnet, in my car porch)

Last time (when I first got the car), I idle the engine for 1 minute, but after that I read certain forum, it's not necessary for water-cooled turbo.

Another theory... I don't like spinning theories since it waste people's time, but here goes.

I googled for "ABS rattle", and guess what I found. It is a common problem around the world. Searching further, there's this component called 'ABS ring' or 'tone ring'. Now, I just need to verify if indeed our EB has this component, and that mine is in fact, defective.

What this means is that, we've seen many of us having ABS related issues, and most the time we think it is the sensor problem. Hopefully, if we can pinpoint the actual problem, could save us a lot of headache and nuisance.

Wish me luck.

I don't really know about the technical parts, what i know is the car is not behave normal like it used to..because I'm travelling with the same road, same speed and at the same time of the day. Just a month ago the fans acting weird. Now my exora stuck at the SC for two days already. Luckily got a triton.

Actually i'm not that fussy with all the issues but because of the recall programme regarding the copper nipple might as well made a complaints while you are at it.

For new owners, get ready for all these issues...really it is a good mpv. Just lowered a bit ur expectation can live happily ever after dy..when i sent my exora got this uncle really fussy, "Why the door is not smooth ha?" The door knob really hard to open ha?" haha really made my day tongue.gif
