Seperate entity.

You can't hold both conventional and Islamic, sadly.

Thanks! I guess my alternative is to convert the AMEX into Ikhwan.

Hey guys, I'm still bounded by BNM's rule of only having credit cards from two issuers since I earn <RM36k. Is Maybank and Maybank Islamic considered two separate issuers? Saw some of you successfully splitting your credit limit to share with MBB2 AMEX. Wondering if I could do the same.
*
it's separate. splitting cl is to increase the chance of getting approved for case with high dsr. but not for case of <rm36k max issuers.

Maybank very cheapskate one.

If you want this card, you might have to forgo the free gift.

Not really a big deal since MBB usually don't give out anything good =.=

Hi, few questions here:
1. is this card worth getting?
2. received a call from bank offering this card, she said the RM50 for government is waived. Is it true? No annual fee and no minimum swipe to achieve that. Is this true also?
3. Is it possible to join income with my wife to get a better card (higher annual income)?
4. Do i get the 5% cashback if bills (unifi, maxis postpaid, insurance) are paid with the card?

1. Yes, worth for it.
2. Good, if they call to offer you because this card has a high possibility to be rejected. The Government Service Tax is not waived, it was abolished already to all cards effectively 1st April after Goods and Services Tax came effect. It is a free for life card, so nothing about annual fees.
3. Nope.
4. Nope. It only has 5% cash back for groceries and petrol on Fridays and Saturdays.

1. Depending on your usage. ( If you heavy movie go-er, takes public transport and don't buy groceries, this card is practically useless for you)

2. Yes, no annual fee.

3. Nope. Better card for Ikhwan is still the same as the Gold card.

4. Nope. Nope. Nope. Only for Groceries / Petrol on Friday & Saturday

If you take public transport and use TnG, then it is very helpful for you because it can be used to reload TnG. laugh.gif rolleyes.gif

That aside, why are you utilizing student price benefits when you are already working? This is not ethically right, it should be only enjoyed by those supposedly deserved for this benefit. smile.gif
