How is that possible to set at RM0.00??! Imagine NO transaction, and MBB will keep on sending SMS alert you? Haa.. To try, mayb u can request to set at RM0.10 and let us know the outcome?? tongue.gif

Yes. I requested to change to 201 but that's the SMS I got from MBB.

Funny! Yesterday, I made few swipes also no SMS alert.

did that. the only benefits is prettier cards laugh.gif i dont need those extra benefits though.

from Gold to Plat, need to fill up forms/submit income documents at card centre. i did it at MV/Gardens maybankard centre.

RM0.00 threshold means you will get an SMS for all transactions that go through your card. If you set it at RM0.10, technically you can still be charged RM0.05 and not be notified icon_idea.gif

Hi guys. Just want to ask something. My wife is using the mb2kard and she was late for a card payment last month (1 day late sad.gif ) anyway, on her card statement now it is showing 17% retail interest rate instead of the normal 8.88%. She called the bank and they said its because she was late for payment once, and the 17% interest rate will persist for 1 year before going back to 8.88%. Has anyone experienced this before? How come the penalty is so harsh? sad.gif

i forgotten to pay recently too and got late payment + finance charge and also have my 8.88% to become 17%.
i called the cs and got all waived and the 17% revert back to 8.88%, all show in the following statement.

Which maybank card center u went? Which credit card apply?
I remmember not all maybank credit card can apply and process on same day.
Some of the credit card will have to wait them to submit to process for few weeks.

Two weeks ago applied specifically for MBB2 Mastercard and recently got a called to collect it from Maybank.

Went to Maybank today and found out that it is a Visa card which I did not apply for. Reason given, Mastercard was having issues with application thus Visa card was given to all those who applied for Mastercard.

Customer service lady told me to talk to a person on the phone (someone from Maybank headquarters) regarding the issue at hand.

Person on phone told that if I insist to have a Mastercard, he can make an application for me but there will be risk that the card might give problem during payments. Therefore I said to cancel the current Visa card and to apply Mastercard later. This is when he started to sound unfriendly and stated that if I cancel the card now, I will run into trouble applying for a new card in the future.

Apparently they can go around threatening customers now?? Screw Maybank, I'll just apply from another bank if that happens.

what the person say is correct..
if you cancel the card, you cannot apply the card within certain period..
and might not get approval as well..

Why bother if it is visa or mastercard?

All we need to use is the amex card only. The rest will have a quick journey to our drawer and sit there start counting stars. hmm.gif

Well, regardless of whether it is true or not they shouldn't be threatening customers like this! I did not apply for a Visa so I have the right to reject it. Pushing something that I don't want in my face is not the polite way of treating a customer.

I have been using my dad's sub mastercard and I have happy with it. That's why i specifically applied for a mastercard.
It's a matter of personal preference.

Just to let you know I applied for VISA but MasterCard came. So I called and informed them accordingly that I applied for VISA and didn't expect for MasterCard. So what they did was resent me a new VISA and at the same time terminated my MasterCard. smile.gif

It was my MBB2Cards as well and that was 4 years ago. smile.gif

i do not know what kind of tone and attitude the person spoke to you..
if just merely informing you the information, i do not see it as threaten..

just because u getting visa and not mastercard and lose the potential of at least RM600 cashback, do you think really worth it?
i suggest you to take the card 1st, then call to CS and explain to them the situation, i believe they will be more than happy to issue mastercard to you and cancel the visa later on..

Well he is not from CS dept so he may not know how to talk to customer nicely. If you really feel threatened, just complain him to Maybank.
