they say that must swipe 3 times on each card first.
so must spend using the mastercard as well right?

just to clarify.
*
If you swipe 3x on amex only, then you get RM50 only.

Like previous post suggested, just swipe 3x small amount on your master/visa then you get another RM50.

Guys, wanna ask, how does 0% ezypay work?

i wanna buy something for 1k, installment rm88 for 12 months. but

a) when will i be charged the rm88 every month? is there a set date?

b) assuming i buy this thing on a weekend, will i still get 5% cashback for the product? as in, 5% from 1k or 5% from first installment only (rm88)?

c) how about TP? will i get 5k TP upfront, at the end of the installments, or only for the first rm88?
*
a) Charged on your statement date

b/c) Refer first page post #2

what i meant is, I discovered using mobile app is even cheaper than with the agoda maybank site. How can it cheaper than the price with discount?
*
The agoda maybank site is not discount price. You only see the discount price after entering your card number.

@cybpsych thanks I have done that, I am not sure why MBB send it statement even in application I applied for e-statement biggrin.gif
*
Is this your first statement? MBB always send hardcopy statement for the first month. You will get e-statement only from next month onwards.

Guys I need to renew my car insurance soon. Do motortakaful or etiqa accept Amex if I want to pay using online payment instead of phone call during weekend?
*
Their online payment accepts Visa & MasterCard only.

Thanks for the response guys, hehe i still got a few doubts to ask, sorry if asking many questions, but i really found this thread very helpful to me. Especially on the first page biggrin.gif

1. As for the GST right, i found that it can be waived by 12500 treatpoints. Since both cards need to pay rm50 each separately, then does the two card have treatpoints separately? Means that we need to collect 12500 on each card to waived it? Example like visa/masterdcard, 1TP for every RM, need to spend about rm12500 to cancel the gst, correct? Lol im not using visa/mstercard as much as amex, any tips? biggrin.gif

2. Actually i just realized that both of the card need to pay separately and have two bills, because during application, i was told by the staff that eventhough i got two card, i still share one account and statement, so there's confusion now lol, so whats both of this card sharing other than credit limit?

For finance charges, since both have two different bill, each card will have separate finance charge? Example if 1.5% charge each month, got two card then 1.5% each means in total 3% for both card, am i correct?

3. This may be very stupid question, but whats the different between statement balance and outstanding balance? Lol

4. Most of petron/shell/caltex accept amex at the pump right?
*
1. No. Treatpoints are combined.
2. They share one account and one statement. Just that you need to pay separately. You will know when you get your first statement. Don't worry.
Wrong math, percentage don't add up like that.
3. Statement balance is the amount charged to your card during the last statement month. Outstanding balance is statement balance plus any unbilled amount since last statement date.
4. Most of them yes.

You can't really says it is off topic. As only Etiqa accepting AMEX and not other insurance companies. But they charge higher premium to offset it.
We discuss more is to understand all the pros and cons.
After all, what we want is to get the most out of our limited money.

I'm sure you can find a more suitable thread to discuss that. Or create your own thread.

Hi guys, I am interested to get this 2 cards and thought of going to 1U card center to apply. Fortunately I go through a few pages in this thread and found out it is no longer "get your card in 60 minutes", hahaha...

anyway, I saw there is a promo at iMoney.com, stating that "Sign up and get RM 100 cash back". I am wondering is this promo available if I apply directly with the bank? Or need to apply through iMoney then only will get this cash back? Anyone has the answer?

Thank you so much.

I was explaining nicely that I do not want the Visa and don't mind waiting for a Mastercard. He then shut me off bluntly and "inform me the information" in a rude tone of voice.
I wouldn't mind if he explained nicely but he was really crossing the line.

I cancelled the Visa on the spot.

Well he is not from CS dept so he may not know how to talk to customer nicely. If you really feel threatened, just complain him to Maybank.

I mean how does cashback work generally?

Say you spend RM100. 5% is RM5. So total is RM95.

Does the system charge RM95 on the CC or from what I read, it says will be put into our CC account at the end of the bill cycle. Does that mean at the end of the bill cycle we'd have RM5 debit?
*
Charge you RM100, next month debit RM5 to you.

if i don't have so much treat points, means i have to pay it rite? because it charge to both card~
*
Yes, have to pay first. Once you have enough treat points, you can still redeem it and they will debit RM50 to you.

BTW, have you swipe 3x on each card to get the RM100 rebate?
