PAYPAL + Amex + RM = no go
PAYPAL + Amex + foreign currency = good to go
PAYPAL + Visa/Master + RM/foreign currency = good to go

Of late, every time I use PayPal to pay PayPal merchant, the payment wouldn't go thru. I need to call maybank Amex CS to "unbarred" payment from 1 day up to maximum 1 month in order to proceed with the payment. I asked why need to call CS to make a PayPal payment even though the amount is less than usd10, CS replied this is new security measure.
You guys faced this situation before ?

- 7% for Platinum and Premium Cards
- 5% for Gold and Classic Cards
Confirmed by nuodi on 09/01/2014 and cempedaklife on 22/06/2014: Additional 5% usual cash back for M2 Amex during weekend
QUOTE(nuodi @ Jan 9 2014, 01:20 PM)
Did 2 agoda bookings with amex in the past 2 weeks.
Both transactions captured as weekend transactions... so extra rebate 5% was given.
Perhaps they have changed their system to perform transactions on weekends. Posting date as usual is always late about 3-4 days later, so just be careful if making month end transaction.

Guys, things have changed with Agoda now. From now on, always choose MYR as your checkout currency as Agoda's rate is now better than ever! And you will save even more if you have MBB2 AMEX. And because your card will be billed in MYR, you do not have to worry about AMEX's high foreign exchange rate! I have just booked a room through the Maybank Agoda promotion landing page, paid with my MBB2 AMEX, got 7% off + about 2.5% (5x TP) + redeemed 12,500 Agoda rewards points (equivalent to USD25). Save myself quite some money.

Using Maybankard 2 AMEX to Pay for Telekom Malaysia Bills including Unifi/Streamyx/multimedia and Tenaga Nasional(TNB)
You can now pay TNB and TM bills through Maybank2U as well
Go to Bill Payment > select the bills you want to pay and select from account your Maybankard 2 Amex. If you do not see it, means it cannot be use for that particular bill.

CALLED TO M2U CALL CENTRE, ANY CREDIT CARD BILL PAYMENT IS LIMITED TO TWO BILLS TO THE SAME PAYEE IN A WEEK TIME. SO AMEX CAN PAY 2 BILLS UNDER SAME CORPORATE PAYEE IN ONE WEEK ONLY. THE 3RD BILLS HAVE TO WAIT NEXT WEEK.

@OP, we need update the first page regarding maxis payment and I got some assistance from jovenne
Maxis does accept AMEX but only via phone. It's not automated but can be done with AMEX.
1) Dial 123 to Maxis centre on Friday night.
2) Speak with customer service representative to request AMEX team to call back you on Saturday morning to proceed your payment
3) On Saturday morning, Amex team will call you back and confirm you on the payment and request AMEX details.
4) Tada Done

I tried the above method for Maxis Home Fibre, it works too altho the number is different in my case (as I'm not using their Mobile yet, so 123 is not applicable for me). I dialed the general maxis CS line 1-800-82-1123 to request for payment, they requested me to call the home fibre department to request for payment at 1800 82 4663. The rest of the steps are the same as per mentioned above by inShuz.

I still able to pay amex through phone through automated system. Does not require the CS call me at all
Just register your card through maxis portal (Add credit card, not the maxis pay).
