anyone knows if All IT accepts credit card or even AMEX? planning to buy external hard disk but afraid they don't accept cc bcoz it only costs a few hundred...

specifically IPC branch...
*
reported back in July that ALL IT @ IPC accepted AMEX for DIY parts only.

if you're at Plaza Lowyat, I've asked Jayacom that they dont impose cc surcharge and accepts AMEX too. All IT @ LYP supposedly impose surcharge, which i'm avoiding.

QUOTE(tbheng @ Jul 9 2014, 06:22 AM)
All IT @ Ikarno Power Center still accepting Amex. I used my Amex last weekend.

hmmm external hdd considered DIY?  laugh.gif
*
should be laugh.gif as long as not complete system. go try ask them on CC payment T&Cs before start to shop tongue.gif that's what i do everytime visiting LYP.

if got surcharge or not accept amex, i go in, walk around, survey price, then go to next door whistling.gif

some might argue shops that accepts cc already included surcharge in the price, well, it's up to us to shop wisely lor. if we think the price is too high, then go to next one and next one and next one.

Nola. not planning to go LYP. kinda far. might just ask the ikano branch.

thanks.  icon_rolleyes.gif

yeah, dont drive up to LYP just to get 5% cashback from amex. doenst worth it. if the price at IPC is comparable after considering the cost driving to shops that give slightly better price, then stick to IPC.

Guys, my MBB Mastercard was attempted for more than 20 times for online transaction two nights ago, received more than 20 sms for MSOS request which was not done by me (USD for aliexpress.com, alipay.com, Moneybookers Ltd., Ali Pay UK, Unibank MK, Defshop KG [in Euro], Imedia Plus Group etc.)

In fact, I have not used my MBB 2 card - master card for  more than 1 year already, so suddenly I received so many MSOS sms really freaked me out. I quickly called up the CS and I was told that those are attempts only, no transactions have been done. Nevertheless they will suspend my master card immediately and ask me to collect the new card from the nearest branch after 7 working days.

Luckily no attempt so far on my Amex as well as the supplementary cards. Really wondering how the hell they get hold of my master card details.
*
well, the fraudster/bot does not know the mastercard belongs to you.

most likely it's an automated blasting with randomize card numbers until it goes thru. think of it like a 'tembak' game until some portal accepts it.

if it's blocked at MSOS portal, then it has no authorization to be charged at all. think MSOS like a firewall that protect you/bank from invalid transaction requests.

What about if KLCC branch still processes cards in 1 hour or which branch still has this facility? Does anyone know? unsure.gif
*
Maybankard Centres at KLCC, The Gardens, and 1U has instant card issuance (1 or 2 hours).

try do it before 7pm with as much supporting documents readily available (just in case). after 7pm, sometimes they backprocessing the application to next days.

oh yeah, as usual, call up Maybank to be sure on the operating hours, etc.

Anyways, knowing that there's an expiry on the treat points now, so does this means all my old points gathered 3 years ago will be expired? or starting from Aug'13, the points would expire 3 years later?

I just wonder how they going to notify us when the 1st expiration kicks in. Hopefully it'll be in the bill statement and breakdown by expiration month (similar to BonusLink statement). hmm.gif

My statement due date is on Nov, 01.
Since it falls on Saturday, I have to pay up by tomorrow?
*
pay from non-MBB banks? then yes, no harm paying on-time or early payment.

some may say there is a minor grace period over payment due date, but i personally wouldn't want to test this scenario smile.gif

hello to all
does any1 here  has waived the GST without losing  your treatpoint ?
*
mbb is very strict on waiving GST. only way is to "earn" some points and use it to redeem RM50 rebate (one-time).

considering there is no AF and the benefits gained in a year outweigh the RM50 GST (in fact, mbb doesnt even own this GST)

Paying via mbb.
cause I'll receive a MBB cheque 2molo, deposit (morning) and pay it.
*
then you have no time to get cheque cleared.

do u have some fund in m2u to pay? if not, try to arrange ibg from other banks by 1230pm today, so that the ibg fund reaches your m2u by 545pm today. then tomorrow on 1st Nov, you can use this to payoff the oustanding while the cheque gets cleared most likely next Monday.

Guys, I wonder if can add Amex into my pay-pal account or not, as seen in threads in past ppl shared that it's possible by calling Amex maybank. But I tried call and being told only can call for approve on single online purchase, Amex rule is filter out all online purchase by default. So every time want buy online also need to call.
Quite inconvenient. Any thought or solution from u guys? Thanks.
*
You got this the other way round.

Yes, you need to perform the linking in PayPal to your amex. Then call MBB to unblock amex transactions using PayPal.

Subsequent PayPal transactions, no need to keep calling MBB.

My usual PayPal to US merchant seems fine, all went thru flawlessly.

Since there is high activity in fraud cases recently, it'd be advisable not to permanently link your amex with any online payment gateways, e.g. PayPal.

*
1) read post #1 to #3 and understand the cashback requirements, as well as other useful information.

2) swipe 3x for each card to get RM50+RM50 rebate. refer here

3) there's ongoing 100% cashback promo. refer here . Plan your daily card swipe at 10am, if possible.
