Kolo is definitely performing very well this season despite the calamities of last season. Even Lovren had shaky moments last night struggling with Gomis.

Borini played really well tonight. Only him and Coutinho were making contributions to our offense. Manquillo is too wasteful with his crosses.

Markovic is just unbelievable. For a player touted as a winger blessed with pace and trickery. I have seen NONE of it since pre season. All he does it pass it back or horizontally. He can't even make a simple dribble to get the ball away from a player in front of him pressing the ball.

Borini was ok for me, marko can be developed into some player if he can stop thinking about his own price tag and start playing some football.

Last night you could see diff from Lambert and Balo. Lambert is obviously trying hard to help the team where else Balo trying very hard to score. That Borini cross was perfect for him but thats all what Balo did last night..

Also glad that I woke up for the game  rclxub.gif  yawn.gif The game was destined for extra time until the momentum swing to our favour. The red card did help too. I said before Cout performance is rising. But will he be benched in next game since he started this game?
This pair not many chances. Borini was lively but not many clear chance.
But Borini-Balo, somehow they clicked for the first goal. Was it because they can read each other better? something BR should look into Borini-Balo combo and Balo-Lambert combo.
yes the statistic continues  thumbup.gif  rclxms.gif

I think Cout wont get full 90mins coming match. Its either he starts 60-70mins and get subbed or sub in against tired legs opponent. Lambert was very good last night, he also constantly trying to help his teammate to get goals.. At least if you're not scoring.. Try to help others

No need to look far for a Balo witch hunt. Well, at least this thread will be Balo-free until the weekend.

Needing two goals in the dying minutes to win the tie. Not impressed by BR at all.

or you can look at it from another perspective:

BR could have subbed out Borini and let Lambert stay and combine with Balo. Afterall Balo-Lambert combo showed some promising linkup in previous match. But instead BR chose to sub out Lambert and play Balo with Borini. and baam! Borini assist Balo scored... whistling.gif

Last night i was impress with coutinho... Not for his misses thou but his character on the field is simply improved. He's like a captain last night, leads the attack and keep yelling at others to make those run forward... Oh my.. This boy is getting better n better....

I will pray for the time when BR has the balls to drop G in a PL or CL game. Like I said, does it make any sense to bench Coutinho for G at the moment?

Balo was known for such kind of goal.

He was not known as nutmeg specialise, closing down opponent, running up and down helping teamates, beat 2 defender, round the keeper and score goal.

Only come in after 80 min, score a goal still being criticised "that's all what he did"? laugh.gif

The real blame should be on BR, why bought such a striker "that's all what he did in a match". whistling.gif

Why so sensitive sir? "Thats all what he did" isnt all criticism, look other way around it could be a good thing smile.gif

Thats all you need to do to score goals, go in thr at right time ya know? So now he realize thats all he needs to do, then what makes him change his game plan i wonder... smile.gif

Thats all you need to do previous match against Hull city, Spurs etc etc

The answer is blatant obvious. It must be the air they breath around Liverpool
