Agreed with Carra. Borini might be a good choices for his hardwork and energy. Last year we press high with suarez non stop running forcing the defenders making mistakes. With Balo up front, we loss the magic touch from our no 10 cause he's the kind of player that always trying to make killer ball tru defenders. But when playing with Balo who prefers ball to feet, holding the ball for too long and not trying to run between defenders, coutinho looks wasted.

I doubt that BR would play 442. Even Suarez played as a LW with Sturridge in the middle... But sterling n sturridge partnership has a lot of potential to become the new SAS.

Like bayern n dortmund dominate german national team. Barca n real for spain. JDT?.. Even to play in ucl u need a bunch of homegrown n homegroom players. But too bad english talents are so rare n overprice... Btw, i love watching us played under kenny. Just remember that Balo is a desperate last minute option for BR to sign a 'big' name striker as Suarez replacement. His first n probably second choices targets are all refuse to play for us unless they got a lucrative crazy wages which far beyond our capability. He was under pressure from board n fans.. When an Italy national team striker with BPL experiences become available at bargain price, he just kind of took the risk. Not trying to defend BR or Balo but just to understand his situation. Even so i still think we waste too much money in transfer not only this season but since the last few years. Too many so-called talented mediocre overprice players were bought but only a few that really worth the money.

I was more frustrated that we didn't add another or a proper defensive mid. Personally i think stevie playing that role is not a good idea. For me a DM must be energetic, got lots of stamina, strong character n harsh tackler... Someone who can give a scare to the opponents... Closing them down, tracks back and chases their forwards, provides cover to our shaky CB. like paul tompkins said a 'mascherano type' not 'xabi alonso type'. Gerrard is good at reading games and making key passes but to play as a DM in high tempo english game is a lot to ask for. He has no legs for that anymore... But i'm not suggesting he should be dropped. His presence and leadership on the pitch is extreamly vital right now as there is lot of new faces in the team... Especially with a frustrated 'mad' man up front

Our goal start leaking soon after we lost Hyypia. Not just as a player but also his leadership at the back. Even Reina who won golden glove award for three season in a row suddenly became a scapegoat and eventually shipped out. Now Mig has to deal with the same situation and even we bought Cech or Buffon, nothing would change with our way of defending. Rafa was heavily criticized for sticking with his zonal marking system but at least there is a visible system. rite now it seems like there is no system at all. We dont have a CB who can win aerial battle. Despite having a solid n scary built, Skrtel is actually poor in the air. To cover for his weakness, he's tend to grabbing n hugging the opponent that can easily leads to unneccessary foul. Ref did gave away a penalty for that once last season. As for Lovren,.. yet too early to comment. And more importantly we seriously need an energetic DM to help them out.....
