i presume it's based on total registrations in RP since the unit is given by RP, not OCBC. 

if this is the case, i might still have a chance to get the unit cuz i registered it on Tuesday (gotten SMS + email); have yet to place the FD in OCBC  (planned to visit tomorrow).

good question brother. my guess is they won't even if ocbc tells them 200 oredi. why? RP probably gets some sort of commission per registration & probably bonus for successful sign-ups. And if u were OCBC would you tell them to say "200 reached oredi"?

What its the best rate for 10k 3 months FD ar?
I check with imoney, it stated RHB have a 3.78% rate. But how come I go to branch, they say dont have such promo one?

First ocbc placement through ringitplus. The gold coin is from Ocbc. Only 10 gold coin. Promote end of Nov.
I think it is not sold out coz I can place FD just now. The gift is from Ringgitplus.

I emailed to ringgitplus and the reply (see below) said it is compounded daily on interest. But Ocbc said it s not. I think Ringgitplus is playing a trick on wording. Interest compounded daily but paid out at maturity date. Since the interest will be paid on maturity, from now till maturity no interest is earn and hence nothing is being compounded?

Wonder how does Ringgitplus makes money by burning money first?

The MedKlinn Asens Air Sterilizer's N.P is rm599 & Offers at rm389. If qualifies for it, rm10000 FD give returns of rm410+rm389, almost 8%.

I think the case is due to auto renewal. For the initial depositing, BR system will adjust to next working day for maturity. But after that, on auto renew, it will just go to exactly 1 year later (for yearly renewal). I kena once but as I just asked for new FD cert, so no loss (mature on Sat). 

Do you notice the interest rate written on the FD cert is 4.10001. For rm10k, it works out Rm10 extra. Sorry there is an error in my calculation

Just received BR Rakyat Xclusive Card. Surprised that BR is now fighting "upmarket" ?

Benefits have been mentioned earlier by some of the fellow forumer.  Will be interesting to see where is the Rakyat Xclusive Servie Centre. Maybe Penang will not have one. Even PBB did not have one PB centre in Penang.

You are correct....i straight away using the percentage and the FD amount used wasnt 10k too...

  I guess Ringgit Plus does not understand the meaning of "compounded daily on interest"..
I do not think Ringgit Plus dares to cheat depositors like this, since this is the mistake they made
and posted this term & condition on website, Ringgit Plus has to honor their word..

I doubt ringgitplus will honor their words. Ocbc already informed Ringgitplus on the error. That day one forum member said Ocbc leng cai confirmed it is compounded interest. Wonder which Ocbc branch and any black and white proof?

What  Ringitplus get is our data which they can use it ....there is no free lunch in this world..

well, RP already removed the term "compounded interest" from their website. now only stated Your interest earnings will be calculated daily, but will only be paid out at the date of maturity.

Ah Sir Ah Goat, my BR FD will mature on Saturday (6 Dec), but my FD cert printed maturity date is next following Monday (8 Dec),
in this case, will I lose one day interest..?
