Can I use this Ecomax all purpose cleaner to clean my ride? Planning to remove wax residue at trim area, also the interior plastic and vinyl parts. Also the leather steering wheel as dirt accumulate at he trim area.

This is its descriptions;

• Powerful cleaning agents effectively cut through tough grease and grime
• Ultra-concentrated formula Can be diluted up to 500 times
• Anti-bacterial action keeps surfaces sanitised
• pH-balanced formula is gentle on skin and surfaces. Also contains special emollients to protect your hands

Suitable for all washable surfaces like kitchen and bathroom surfaces, non-fabric sofas, windows, floors, dishes, cars and even fabrics, etc.

I am still torn between spending RM380 for the Bosch GEX125-1 AE or to spend RM1000 on a DA. Any of you guys got any cheap DA to recommend?

I am just a beginner with 1 red 1 year old car.

Depending on what you intend to use the machine for. The Bosch would be good enough for *light* polishing, paint cleaning and waxing. For heavier corrections like removing swirls, light scratches and the like, a DA would be more suitable. And by suitable, I meant it would save you the effort and time required. The Bosch could still be able to do it albeit in longer time and would require more efforts.

Hi Guys, I am just started my online store to sell detailing products. I had started it with GYEON products and slowly I will bring in more. Currently having pre-order discount and it's ending tomorrow. I will get my first batch of stock by tomorrow so any order made now will ship on Friday! GYEON is a good brand, worth to try their products especially having discount now. Please feel free to check it out at www.mycardetailer.net, any questions are welcome. Happy Detailing!

Hi guys,

On Sunday morning get ONRing my ride after 2 weeks collected from the dealership. I use the Garry Dean method, not the 2 bucket as still not get grit guard. Afraid to use 2 bucket without GG as the dirt might stick back to the media and scratch the paint. I presoak the dirt, then wipe using microfiber. 11 pcs microfiber towel used. 5 is the blue 3M microfiber, 3 Mr DIY drying towel the towel so soft with one plush side, and another one side with short nap, it hold quite a lot of water, 3 pieces Ace Hardware cheapo microfiber.

blue 3M microfiber - for main use panel, fold into 8 as it big.
Mr DIY microfiber - panel, fold into 4 as it smaller, the soft plush side make me fall in love, it cheap summore RM5.30
Cheapo Ace Hardware microfiber - as it small and not plush enuff, only use for window.

I also bought the Opti-Mitt, but yet to use. Waiting for Grit Guard only will use 2 bucket method.

Any recommendation of any good microfiber for washing media? The blue 3M is good at final drying towel if you did not have waffle weave drying towel. Also redeem Bonuslink point from Shell on the spot redemption, a Synthetic Chamois Cloth, this is good drying cloth, just need to blot the water, or just glide without pressure it absorb so much water.

Later will buy the Cobra The Guzzler Waffle Weave Towel by Cobra for the final drying. As the car only 2 weeks old, will probably just do ONRing. Later after 90 days only will do proper wash and wax, probably during Chinese New Year holiday at parents place. Proper in the means of 2 bucket normal wash, claying, sealing(maybe using Perma Glass Polymer Sealant, care to recommend not so expensive sealant?) and waxing.

The following or something equivalent to the following:
1. Polishing - Sonax White Polishing pad (160mm) or Lake Country White pad (5.5").
2. Waxing - Sonax Black/Grey Finishing pad (160mm) or Lake Country Black Finishing pad (5.5")

I'd also suggest, if possible, you get at least one of the harder and more aggressive heavy polishing pad just in case you'd need to do some heavier corrections. Sonax Yellow, Lake Country Orange or 3M Green.

I'd say, if you can afford, the Meguiars twin - Megs Ultimate Compound and Megs Ultimate Polish. Both are decent enough compound and polish for beginner and intermediate enthusiasts.

Agreed! I have Megs Ultimate Compound and Megs Ultimate Polish and what I can say is Ultimate Compound can leave almost LSP ready finish on certain paint while clear up most moderate swirl marks. Ultimate Polish does not correct much but it can leave a wetter and luster finish! thumbup.gif

Guys, help me decide, planning to buy drying towel. Mostly for ONRing wash. Which is recommended?

★ 2pcs Meguiar’s Water Magnet Microfiber Drying Towel
★ Cobra Supreme Guzzler Waffle Weave, 20" x 40 "

Both price the same, only quantity of Meg is 2 instead of 1 Cobra.

My experience - the Cobra is more durable (and better quality).

Might I suggest another alternative to consider.....Osren's drying cloth 60cm x 180cm. My personal opinion is that it is quite a value-for-money drying cloth. I have a few of them and it works surprisingly well for the price thumbup.gif

Osren Drying Cloth 60cm x 180cm

Thanks bro. smile.gif
By the way, since you are using Osren drying cloth, may I know which one would be the better choice between their chamois and weaver cloth? I am using their chamois but feel that it is a bit fragile, it gets stretched to some irregular shape after I squeeze the water out, so I wonder how long this chamois can last.
