U can forget about using Wax which can't sustain heat. Even i u use paste wax also hard. Use Wax as ur last protection layer (I always do this, but correct me if I'm wrong).

I'm same with u, fedup with all those dirt, dust and grimes. Felt so fedup. I did my sealant coating, put detailer and then add wax on top. U can try and see if u can accept or not but for sure u need to do some work before u apply the PG sealant.

Now I'm thinking of doing the coating that can last me real long.

1) Shampoo
2) Clay
3) Polish (if necessary)
4) Wax or sealer
5) second layer wax or sealer
6) Spray wax or detailer for regular maintenance there after.

1) Shampoo - Mother Gold Series looks good. There's alot good one in the market but I think since u wan to do all those sealand thing, dun choose wash wax first. Well, It seems like u don't have a place to wash ur car. For first started, no problem and just go any place to wash. After u did everything, please be more selective on the car wash shop else u waste all ur effort.

2) Clay - Cheapest brand for this is PG Clay. Search the Utube and see how they do this.
3) Polish - No idea, I want to try others also. Now using Soft99. Just mehhhh....

4) Sealant - I'm using PG Sealant. get the small bottle 1 will do. But while u do it, remember to buff off completely.

5) second layer wax or sealer - U can also apply second layer of PG but after the curing time. Forgot how long oledi. See manual. After u done with ur sealant, Put on Detailer. Sealant can't realy repel water. Not so nice but still better than without sealant.
6) Detailer - I'm using Sonax Brilliant Shine. I can say it's alot better than the Megs Ultimate Detailer.

After everything done, if u want u can get some wet wax to apply (few hours later after u apply detailer). U put under the hot sun so I can say not so lasting for wax. Well, u can apply every week. No problem.

If u going to the car shop to wash, just look carefully if their solution rip of the wax. Some of the shop using washing powder and some use acid to wash ur car. Effort all gone after get wash like this few times.

Good carwash shop like those using Megs should not rip the wax.

clay work suppose to be done after washing ur car. Get some water spray if u have. Spray on and glide thru. Before u glide, try to feel with ur finger. U can feel some small tiny uneven surface(that's the dirt/contaminant that can't wash away). After glide thru touch again and see.

How many hour is very dependent. My car is white. So I remove what ever I can see with my eyes. Sometimes I did for one door and do second time after the next door coz my eyes did not see more clearly at first. Hence take more time.

can, no prob. I used that or use Ultimate Quick Detailer. But not after each wash. Kinda waste money since I wash about every 4 days.
Clay the whole car, start with the top. Leave the lower panel of the car (where you said its most rough) last.

personally, if the car is full of dust, wash the car cheaper. If you use Quik Detailer to wipe the car to remove dust, you gonna finish the bottle very quickly.

The biggest differences is duration. The wax effect will last for one month, while the effect of coating agents will last for more than three months. The coating agent keeps the car clean for a long time, so it's the perfect item for those who are lazy or have no time for car wash 

No...that's polishing.Waxing weekly will not make the car paint thinner. nobody wax weekly imo. Such a waste....

Me? Hand wax. Very long. 45 mins easily.

Make sure you clay your car before waxing. else the wax won't last.

If more dent or door ding per panel, i think he can slightly lower the cost bit but don't expect much....
