What I heard Lenovo phones also has this problem.

Not sure about it, but I did heard the most China brand phones have the similar problem.

Well. Maybe coz most of the Lenovo and Xiaomi users in Msia used the app to fix the area code issue instead of reporting the problems to Lenovo and Xiaomi.

For us still ok, we can fix it on our own. If to those elderly who is not computer literate, then pity them.

Better most of us make a feedback on this case in miui forum.

for Malaysia users. when the area code +6 is not added, it will cause several problem to the phone.

1) duplicate contacts in contact app.

2) some contact name not appearing in message app. instead some contact appears as phone numbers.

3) in messaging app, 1 contact will have 2 message thread. Meaning that message from same contact will not bind into 1 message thread. instead it separates into 2 message thread.

hope there will be an update to solve this issue.

Anyone have this problem? When receive random notification the screen will hang not responsive at all..the wallpaper oso turn black at that moment..like the pic that I upload... Only way is to long press power button to force restart.. Is that a bug or anything? btw i using v23..

Yes. The latest stable rom for China rom is v23. The latest stable rom for Malaysia (Global rom) is also v23. But it can only be updated via OTA.

Finally I can use Mi Manager Software to share PC internet aka reverse tethering after update to V23. 

Guy, just connect your phone to PC, annually run the Mi Manager Software, just wait a short while you will see a small circle turning at bottom left, later you will see a notification square box on top left to update to latest version software, click update & wait, the Mi manager will run again, taaadaaa Phone connect to Mi Manager. 

Updated to the latest stable version, and the sms issue is now solved

so beside the "cloud messaging security" update, it bring fixes to others too? what else changed?

I think nothing's changed, it's just to fix the sms issue.

Guy not sure this question been asked earlier, seem i can find a answer after checking a few pages..

Anyone know how to permanently delete those apps like Google+, Play Book, Play Newstand, Play Music, Play Movie, Hangout, it seem it will re install after reboot despite i had uninstalled it (After V23 firmware update).

Need step by step guide since i quite noob, don't want root solution, because want keep it ori.
