Guy not sure this question been asked earlier, seem i can find a answer after checking a few pages.. tongue.gif

Anyone know how to permanently delete those apps like Google+, Play Book, Play Newstand, Play Music, Play Movie, Hangout, it seem it will re install after reboot despite i had uninstalled it (After V23 firmware update).

Need step by step guide since i quite noob, don't want root solution, because want keep it ori.  smile.gif

Just curious, what is the reason you want to remove those Google apps? I moved all into a Google folder, those apps are small apps, won't take much space.

Last night about 11pm, while I was watching movie from my PC & my wife was asleep, I heard a blow up sound, my PC went blank. I had a shock....
Found out that my wife's charger - a 4 years old HTC charger blown up while charging her Mi3. Been charging the Mi3 for the past 3 weeks without any problem.
I quickly remove the phone & check, luckily no problem...noticed that, this happen after she updated to the latest ROM V23 & going usual night charging. Now it's back to Xiaomi original charger since the incident.

Anyone have this before? Wonder if this is got to do with the new ROM ?

a bit hard to troubleshoot. Might be the HTC charger issue maybe it degraded, or electricity spike, or might be the extensions' socket degraded. Was the extension socket in good condition?

Coz i got 1 extension, 1 of the socket damn scary, whenever i plug in anything (charger, kettle) into the socket, I hear like electric buzzing. sweat.gif

Never have any problem with this extension & been using for many years. It's only use for charging phone, ipad-mini & a speaker. All are small amp adapter. Can't be problem with the HTC Charger. It was built way too good to charge a normal phone. It's just a normal 1Amp USB charger. Really sayang to seen it blown up this way. sad.gif

I am not an expert for this kind of stuff. But if it's Mi3's fault, then it should have been blown up as well along with the charger and extension.

Now the situation is HTC charger is blown up, extension is kaput, Mi3 is fine, your computer is fine.

Something happened between the extension and the HTC charger. Hard to say what was the exact cause. And when they blown up, Mi3 somehow managed to survive from the accident (due to its protection system I guess?). PC also survived because it was not caused by the PC itself. So it was shut down since the electic current was cut.

From this case, may be we should say that MI3 was designed very well on its protection when it comes to charging.

Err...no lar...

I think the fuse in the charger would likely cut off the power to the phone when it was overloaded, possibly due to aging or power surge. Sometimes the devices got shortcircuit as well if the surge is too strong or fast. The fuse minimize that from happening but its not a 100% thing. You got lucky.

Anyone have this problem? When receive random notification the screen will hang not responsive at all..the wallpaper oso turn black at that moment..like the pic that I upload... Only way is to long press power button to force restart.. Is that a bug or anything? btw i using v23..
*
I face similar issue since day 1. For my case, it happened when I received email alert (gmail).
When I tried to pull down the notification bar, it will sort like hang and after the awhile, the screen will turn black like yr pics.
So now, whenever this happened. I'll just go to the gmail app and open the mail. Once the notification for the gmail has been cleared, everything will be back like normal.
You can try. So far, I still haven't encounter this issue after I upgrade to V22 & V23.
From my earlier observation, it's very random.

I believe you guys has heard about the MI cloud security issue.
http://www.soyacincau.com/2014/08/11/xiaom...urity-concerns/

Even the just OTA the v23 to fix the problem, but I highly encourage you to install CM security and do a scanning. You will find another leak that need to be fix.

Yup...my PC was not on the same socket, but was from the same main fuse. The small explosion trip the main fuse to trip. That's why my PC also kena. Nothing relate to phone. Just the extension & adapter burnt.

I would conclude the old aged extension & charger.
