QUOTE(jolokia @ Aug 11 2014, 08:29 AM) Finally I can use Mi Manager Software to share PC internet aka reverse tethering after update to V23. I did that on v14. Never tried it since then.Guy, just connect your phone to PC, annually run the Mi Manager Software, just wait a short while you will see a small circle turning at bottom left, later you will see a notification square box on top left to update to latest version software, click update & wait, the Mi manager will run again, taaadaaa Phone connect to Mi Manager. |

QUOTE(jolokia @ Aug 11 2014, 11:26 AM) Guy not sure this question been asked earlier, seem i can find a answer after checking a few pages.. Just curious, what is the reason you want to remove those Google apps? I moved all into a Google folder, those apps are small apps, won't take much space.Anyone know how to permanently delete those apps like Google+, Play Book, Play Newstand, Play Music, Play Movie, Hangout, it seem it will re install after reboot despite i had uninstalled it (After V23 firmware update). Need step by step guide since i quite noob, don't want root solution, because want keep it ori. |

QUOTE(danieloo @ Aug 11 2014, 12:23 PM) Last night about 11pm, while I was watching movie from my PC & my wife was asleep, I heard a blow up sound, my PC went blank. I had a shock.... Any thunders last night? Penang area got a lot of thunder storm in the past 2 days, which could burn your electronics easily.Found out that my wife's charger - a 4 years old HTC charger blown up while charging her Mi3. Been charging the Mi3 for the past 3 weeks without any problem. I quickly remove the phone & check, luckily no problem...noticed that, this happen after she updated to the latest ROM V23 & going usual night charging. Now it's back to Xiaomi original charger since the incident. Anyone have this before? Wonder if this is got to do with the new ROM ? |

QUOTE(volrath @ Aug 12 2014, 02:45 AM) Just updated via OTA official to the stable version. Reboot the phone (not power off the phone)My phone become very less responsive, touchscreen also very tough. (doesn't happen all the time but randomly) I use SwiftKey, and typing is such a hassle, it's jerking as I type. Never happened before the latest update. So sad |

QUOTE(Cavino @ Aug 13 2014, 08:49 AM) That is WHERE the GLASS SP comes in. A good glass SP has the same feel as gorilla glass....and changeable upon damage at a fraction of the phone glass below it. Yup. Glass SP is the way to go. But the oleophobic coating (anti-finger thing) is worn off after some usage, even those super expensive one. I googled a bit and found a 'solution'. I will try it this weekend with my car wax Now ALL my phones are using glass SP. Just could not goes back to plastic SP once you get used to the smooth glass gliding touch. Oleophobic coating DIY |

After further reading, I should be able to use my non-abrasive car wax. Just remember don't use car polish as it has abrasive action. I will apply several coating and see how long it will last. Car wax is made to withstand hash environment such as high temp, sunshine, rain, etc.
RainX.... i feel like RainX is not smooth to touch after I apply to the windshield. |

QUOTE(Cavino @ Aug 13 2014, 12:04 PM) You really consider Rainx kah.....I just joking only... lol... I am not applying it directly on my Mi3 screen, I am going to apply it to the tempered glass screen protector. If failed, then it is much cheaper to replace tempered glass screen protector.Car wax will still wash of after several car wash actually. Its those sealent thingy that can withstand long term but I don't think you should use it on your glass.....unless you thinking its abt time to change to MI4... |

QUOTE(Cavino @ Aug 14 2014, 11:04 AM) Ok. Tot since the word BYPASS is there, that means source will bypass PB battery to charge phone AND at the same time charge battery. This is needed when we have only 1 charger source and need to charge both PB and phone at same time. It is actually called Pass-thru charging by Xiaomi. It is to charge your phone while charging your Mi Power Bank at the same time. I tried it before, it does charge my phone and PB at the same time although charging the PB is a bit slow. |
