bro, I found those stuff in both jusco and tesco.
but after check with my friend he claim it's useful for those straight back car.
Like Alpha, Estima.
If for preve, it's useless since our long boot still block the view.

But for straight back cars, why do they still need this lens? They should be able to see the full back.

Maybe paste the lens at the highest point of the back screen then should be able to see lower?

Claim for brake disc in SC immediately or in 1st services. My case is that the sound will not go away by its own, so just claim.

If over certain mileage, some SC will request you to "buy" the brake pad too. Brake pad is wear and tear item.

It's actually a self preference type of car, every car also got their negative side i believe.
Try not to look down on Proton and i think we will have a pleasant experience with our Preve!

I called SC, i explained and they told me as long as dont exceed 1500km.
Cross finger that day no problem arise.


Funny part is sometimes i hear the sound, sometimes it seems like its gone.

to rectify whether your car got any disc brake sound or not, u may drive until at least 60km/h, then press brake pedal medium~hard. normally car store too long period in warehouse then disc brake worn out. direct claim warranty and replace it if there got ready stocks. if wait, always need wait for few hours for them to serve us..

Interesting. I don't get the helicopter sound and maybe that is because I have not braked when going at 60 kph.

Do I read it correctly that this free brake helicopter sound repair is only for up to 1500 km and after that it will be on own account? Hope not.

My car already at SA. I should got the car by last Sunday but it needs to be sent for workshop for 2nd round PDI (courtesy of my SA) and tinting process. AS long as I got the car, that's fine by me


But some question thou. The trimming around the head unit is brown. I checked the Premium version, it's black. Mine is CVT Exec. Is it correct?

I just asked my SA, he said the color for Exec is brown. Have been sitting in Premium model all this while. Hahaha. I'm gonna enjoy the stock car for few months, then later gonna upgrade whatever worth to be upgrade

The brake disc rotor sound is the common problem..I thought it's counted as Sparepart warranty which is not limit to 1.5k km

hmm probably your car is real new and didnt park at open warehouse for long time.. so u didnt get the problem.. warranty can claim at anytime as long as you issued the problem to sc and they will rectify it. if no problem then better lo.. save your time..

In the warranty booklet, the predelivery check was done in early July. After that it has been sitting under the sun at the port waiting for a buyer. So sitting there for about a month.

Maybe I should reduce the music volume in the car now to pay attention to the brake noise! Ha.

Any warranty claims can be done within the warranty period. No worries on that. The helicopter sound does pop out when the disc is warped, hence the need to change the disc.

Trying to decide when to replace my spare wheel even if I do not use it later. Checked the web and some says tyre's expected life is about 5 years. I forgot to check the manufacture date on that tyre when I took it out the other day. By the way, try taking that spare wheel out. The wing nut is very hard to loosen by hand or even with the tools in the car. Now it is hand tight and thus I can loosen it when needed out on the road.

Back to my tyre story. While looking for expected tyre life, saw this.



My Preve wheels are V type (tested maximum speed = 240 kph). But I will stick to 110 kph as my max.

My tyres are dated 2014, made in Indonesia. Think Proton should really support M'sian companies by using M'sian products even though Indonesian products may be cheaper. Just my view.
