QUOTE(cybpsych @ Aug 2 2014, 12:30 PM) mind to share what transaction was it? Paypal? online service? sometimes it depend on the merchant's time too. I remember one lyn member was saying even some local merchant have delays especially midnight transaction. read from post 260 onwards. QUOTE(charymsylyn @ Aug 2 2014, 11:22 PM) Thanks for bringing this up again, you can find my explanation on this some pages back in this thread. Hi guys, thanks for the explanation. Guess I'm not the only one experiencing it then Basically what I bought that time at Saturday, 12:05 AM was some online game's in-game store credit in US Dollars (direct purchase). Guess next time I'll just avoid purchasing anything before-dawn on Saturday. |

QUOTE(victorywp @ Jul 31 2014, 11:02 PM) if mbb ends their agoda offer now, many will shift to using uob and aeon with the offers as below... I tried to book via Maybank link but I couldn't see the 7% discount during checkout after I had key in my cc detail. That's why I called to the customer service and the staff told me it is not longer available according to Maybank website as agoda promotion isn't listed. This post has been edited by tcken: Aug 3 2014, 09:47 PM |

This promo is still available but not available for all hotels. After going to agoda.com/maybank and entering the dates and city, hotels eligible for promotion will be tagged "Promotion Eligible" and the 7% will display after entering your Amex card number.Attached thumbnail(s) |

I called to report a lost Maybank 2 card and was told that it'll cost me RM50 to get a replacement unless I make a police report.
Very annoying, I guess if Maybank wants to charge fees and doesn't appreciate my decade long business with them then I'll happily move my expenditure to another bank. |

I'm starting to move out my FD to CIMB. After being with MBB and using their cards for > 5 years, they don't consider to upgrade my Gold to Platinum or a limit increase. QUOTE(David83 @ Aug 3 2014, 11:08 PM) I started to hate MBB and I found out that they don't appreciate loyal customers. Completely agree. Over the past 10+ years I have 5 cards with them (Amex Platinum credit card, Maybank 2 Platinum, Maybank Premiere) plus a huge housing loan and depositing my paycheck every month there and yet they don't care.I'm starting to move out my FD to CIMB. After being with MBB and using their cards for > 5 years, they don't consider to upgrade my Gold to Platinum or a limit increase. Feel regretted to attach my house loan with them. As soon as I've transferred my TP I'll be canceling my cards and making sure their management is aware of why I'm canceling my cards. Maybe it's time to look at CIMB. |

QUOTE(David83 @ Aug 3 2014, 11:08 PM) I started to hate MBB and I found out that they don't appreciate loyal customers. this is true... i used both mbb and cimb cc more than 10 years ago and only cimb will automatically increase my cl after few years of using it. but mbb never, unless i request.I'm starting to move out my FD to CIMB. After being with MBB and using their cards for > 5 years, they don't consider to upgrade my Gold to Platinum or a limit increase. Feel regretted to attach my house loan with them. but both have their own good. automatic increase cl is not always a good thing. when you lose your cc and the thief illegally used it to swipe until max your cl, you can blame the bank for increasing without your approval. moving fd from mbb to cimb is a good move anyway since the fd rate is higher in cimb after the adjustment recently. |

QUOTE(victorywp @ Aug 3 2014, 11:14 PM) Police report = at least 1 hour of my time spent going to the police station.1. I value my time more than that. 2. Maybank should value me more than RM50. They have my records and they have my spending patterns. In short if Maybank doesn't value me more than RM50 then they can find another customer. |

Well, CBB offers to upgrade my limit via SMS with a consent by replying YES.but both have their own good. automatic increase cl is not always a good thing. when you lose your cc and the thief illegally used it to swipe until max your cl, you can blame the bank for increasing without your approval. moving fd from mbb to cimb is a good move anyway since the fd rate is higher in cimb after the adjustment recently. If I don't reply or ignore the SMS, the upgrade offer is no longer valid. |

I think most of you didn't read the earlier posts I had.1. I lost my card. 2. The card is already blocked, I called in to block it. 3. Maybank wants RM50 to issue me a new card unless I make a police report 4. If the card can still be used when it's already blocked then Maybank has serious issues. Overall Maybank's customer appreciation is pathetic. Will drop by CIMB today to see what they can offer. |
