I did a purchase on weekend amounting to more than RM1K.

But my cashback is only RM47. This is ridiculous since I have other weekend spendings too.

Do u guys know why this happened?
*
When is the transaction date? That's important. smile.gif
Best is share a screenshot here and others could help out. smile.gif

I got RM 50 last month. biggrin.gif

AMEX still lower than VISA...

and some other people do report for EUR as well..
same result..AMEX better result
*
Thanks for the info. I always thought AmEx is higher compared to VISA or MC. smile.gif
Not sure if this applies for PayPal as well? Though most of the time I purposely wait until weekend to purchase stuff online and charge them to PayPal which is linked to my AmEx though.

if you use the exchange rate by the cc rather than paypal rate, i think the result would be the same as the rest of online transaction

Unfortunately not all merchants accept AmEx. sad.gif
But it's still a good news for me. biggrin.gif

How long they took to process your temp CL increment?

Did they also offer you to make it a permanent increment?
*
I submitted my documents via email, so it took longer than straight submitting to the branch I think?
Mine was done in 3-4 working days.
Yes, permanent increase.

Sure eligible? 5% rebate calculation according to Posting Date rite? smile.gif
*
Transaction date determines your eligibiltiy for cash rebate.
Posting date is only important if it on the last day of the month. For e.g. this month's 31st will fall on Sunday, so if you swipe on Sunday and merchant only posts on Monday; you will still get your 5% rebate but it will be part of your September's rebate and will not be calculated in August rebate.

Hope this clarifies.

I just sent in my request via email and do the necessary, it took about 3 working days for everything to be completed (email correspondence and CL increase).

Hi..may I know which email do you sent to for the CL increase and what Form do you use for the CL increase?  tongue.gif
*
I sent to mbbcardservices@maybank.com.my and their reply is quite promptly.
As for the form, I think you better wait for them to send to you. In my first email, I already attached latest 3 months of payslip and current year EPF statement.
Then, they will reply you with the form.

After travelling to China so often that I'm numb to comments which they don't accept overseas credit card, I guess merchants that don't accept AmEx are nothing to me these days. sweat.gif

These days when I'm in China, I just use my ICBC Debit Card that has UnionPay facility, at least UP is still the most acceptable mode of payment in China.

UnionPay is just like Visa or Master facility.. Its China's own faciilty.
Japan also has one its called JCB.

Yeah I know and been checking which Malaysia CC that has UnionPay facility, unfortunately there is none except from ICBC.
If possible I really want to avoid ICBC after having not a so good experience with their debit card. Still using though.
I travel so often to China these days, Beijing is like my second home now..

How I wish if Maybank has... sad.gif

I believe to fully utilize the 0% BT offered by Maybank. smile.gif
I already increased mine in Q1 of the year. Since I'm changing my card to Plat next year's anniversary, let's see by then how much it can give me.
Don't want to change to Plat anytime now to avoid paying RM 100 for nothing. laugh.gif

So old card holder would be just entitle to RM 50 tax? Or RM 100 for now? Can I cancel my master card pair with amex one instead to cut half of the tax amount if RM 100 applicable...btw mostly everyone js need the Amex card.
*
For now is RM 50 but my gut feeling tells me it could be revised to RM 100...
You cannot cancel Visa or MasterCard that paired with your AmEx. It is a combo version, if that's possible, I bet everyone on this thread will cancel it. laugh.gif
