Not sure if just plain bad luck sweat.gif

Applied through Maybankard Centre @ 1 Utama on Tuesday (Public holiday), understood that 1-hour approval cannot be done (as it's public holiday). Completely understand & ok with that. Promised that next-day can collect the card.

Wednesday comes, followed up with them, they said there's some issue embossing the card, tomorrow only can collect.

And today comes, and they now says the card embossed, but cannot deliver to 1U on time, another "tomorrow only can collect".

God knows what'll happen tomorrow rclxub.gif

Alright. Thanks for the advice!

Guess I'll have to visit the branch again tomorrow rclxub.gif

When asked the staff today, he said everything automatically linked which doesn't seem to be the case doh.gif

Do yo have any saving or current accounts with maybank? If the answer is no, some officers do not know how to link to CC only. Insist them to call up HQ for assistance. You do not need any saving accounts to have your CC linked to M2U.
*
For the sake of simplicity, I opened the maybank basic savings account today, but when I asked them to link my MBB2Cards to that account, they said it's automatic, just have to register maybank2u pin via the new ATM card they gave, and log in maybank2u.

After doing that, I realized that CC isnt listed and thus went to search online and ended up calling their CS and posting here, and indeed we need them to link the CC to M2U.. I have no idea why that staff told me it's automatic. I even highlighted that I currently already holding MBB2Card but no M2U / Maybank Savings account doh.gif

if you have m2u before you apply CC, then yes, it will automatically link..
but you are the opposite, having card 1st and then m2u..
so u need to go branch and request to link to your m2u

I'm on the opposite boat sad.gif

QUOTE(cappuccino vs latte @ Jul 22 2014, 09:39 PM)
Last time I got saving account before getting this cc but it was not linked. I went to a branch and the staff query me why I come to the branch instead of the saving account holding branch. I've to lie to her saying that I just coincidentally dropped by this area and my home branch is very far... Although seems like reluctant but at the end cc was successfully linked in M2U. It only took her few minutes to do that.
Maybank front-line staffs' service level is one of the worst beside CIMB's. They are cocky by nature.
*
I've experienced CIMB, HSBC and finally Maybank so far. I've to say Maybank gave me nightmare in just a week's time.

I had 4 bad experiences already so far.. rclxub.gif

i have maybank saving account and m2u all these while,
when i expressed interest for mbb2 card online recently,

they call me in 3 days....

then my cards approved in a week time....
then my cards are linked to m2u automarically...
all the above without hassle...

i guess i'm lucky...

but my friend applied through SA, got push around(docs lost, no record, no response from SA etc etc) for almost a month...

the last time she went to maybank branch herself without contacting the SA(fed up), asking for the application status....branch CS checked according to her IC, say no RECORD at all in the stytem...fine, she thought, jz forget it, she dont want to use this stupid card anymore(the card is not stupid but the SA made her mad), but recently she was notified that her  cards are approved! she was so speechless!!!
=========================

by the way, another friend of mine applied for the mbb2 card just last week,
but the SA/branch CS told her the GST is still RM50 only(for both cards) not RM100 as discussed and found out recently for those who approved after 9-Jul-2014.....

anyone has recently apply and get the same answer from bank?

i am thinking if this SA that attend to my friend is not equipped with right information...
this is really not professional if it is true.
*
Most probably. I tried to "test water" although I already read the latest T&C posted by members here, I just act donno and ask the 1U Maybankard Centre guy and they insist that it is RM50 PER CARD now (RM100/year) for GST.

i wondering those who always need to call CS to enable paypal transaction, do you guys did the verification of the card in paypal?

I didn't call CS to enable. But I did use Amex via PayPal. Received a call from Maybankard Centre within 1 hour, basically just to verify if I had indeed performed a PayPal transaction.

It's my time to contribute after being a hidden reader here biggrin.gif

@OP, we need update the first page regarding maxis payment and I got some assistance from jovenne

Maxis does accept AMEX but only via phone. It's not automated but can be done with AMEX.

1) Dial 123 to Maxis centre on Friday night.
2) Speak with customer service representative to request AMEX team to call back you on Saturday morning to proceed your payment
3) On Saturday morning, Amex team will call you back and confirm you on the payment and request AMEX details.
4) Tada Done smile.gif

alexwsk OP:

Just want to add on to this post, in the main page.

I tried the above method for Maxis Home Fibre, it works too altho the number is different in my case (as I'm not using their Mobile yet, so 123 is not applicable for me). I dialed the general maxis CS line 1-800-82-1123 to request for payment, they requested me to call the home fibre department to request for payment at 1800 82 4663. The rest of the steps are the same as per mentioned above by inShuz.

Since we're on the topic of paying Maxis via Amex, anyone here is both a Maxis mobile user and home fibre user? How do you pay via amex?

If pay-via-phone, is it possible to pay-both bills at one go? or have to make two calls (one to general maxis, one to home fibre department)?

Just switched to Maxis today from Umobile sweat.gif laugh.gif

Just a quick question to all MBB2card holders:

Do you all receive SMS Alert whenever you use your credit card (Retails, Onlne Transactions, Amazon, Bill Payments via M2U, etc)?

I noticed that only 30%~40% of the usage comes with SMS alert. The other times there are no SMS notification at all, and does not seem to be depending on value.

I received RM10.10 SMS during my first time usage when I was testing it at Jusco. Then there's some retail shops with purchase about RM50~RM100 with no SMS notification / alert.

As for online usage, pretty random pattern as well, example when I purchase online USD$1, USD$10 I received SMS as well. But yesterday when using it @ Amazon (Approx USD$90), no SMS notification rclxub.gif

I called CS and ask to set the SMS limit to RM1, so for any transactions I'll receive SMS. Guess u can do that as well, applies for online transaction as well.

QUOTE(victorywp @ Jul 28 2014, 04:56 PM)
for mbb, it's easy to set your sms alert notification to the minimum amount you want (usually rm1 so that any of your transaction will be alerted to you). you just need to call the mbb cs to set it unlike other banks like hlb, ocbc, uob, etc. that need you to fill in the form.

QUOTE(Styrroyds @ Jul 28 2014, 10:07 PM)
my first week using it was also like that

other than the first one, every other transaction is inconsistent

set to rm1, everything settle  laugh.gif

Ok laugh.gif

Just called CS this evening to change the limit to RM1 for SMS Alerts. They told me it'll be effective within 14 working days. Guess I'll wait and see next month biggrin.gif

any government or education or insurance related transactions?
*
Nope. So far all are the following categories:
- Groceries
- Online Game Credits / Game Purchases / HumbleBundle / Amazon
- Petrol
- Bills (Maxis via Phone / Payment Counter, TNB via M2U)

Calculating the differences (RM43.2 - RM41.55) is RM1.65 differences (5% cashback); RM1.65/5*100 = RM33. Can't seem to link back to any RM33 transactions that are not eligible for cash back rclxub.gif

EDIT: Nevermind, I cross-checked the statement vs. my list, found out why already. It's the first transaction (RM32.61) rclxub.gif

I placed order at Sat, Jul 19, 2014 at 12:05 AM sharp (based on receipt sent to my email), and seem like M2U recognize it as Friday transaction vmad.gif

ok, i assume all transactions were made with AMEX.

Try to use excel's ROUNDDOWN function, set it 2 decimals.

from ur list, you should get RM43.18 cashback. difference from statement = RM43.19 - RM41.55 = RM1.63.

possibly your 19/7/2014 's transaction (RM1.63 cashback) was missed (dont know for what reasons).
*
Yup, it's the first transaction that are missed (see my edited post above).

No idea why 12:05AM's transaction is still considered as Friday. Maybe they have a different cut-off period for weekend rclxub.gif

Thanks for the tips on ROUNDDOWN though, previously just did a simple round to two deecimal. After rounding down it's much more accurate tracking now laugh.gif
