the 5% is being deducted after you key in your mbb cc number upon checking out right before payment. if no 5% deducted, then something is wrong (most probably wrong link) so don't proceed to make payment.

I key in my mbb cc number upon checking out but theres no 5% discount. I have tried it a few times. I use the maybank link.. weird :/

I have just called Maybank cc customer service. The staff said the agoda offer isn't longer available. How come? :S

if mbb ends their agoda offer now, many will shift to using uob and aeon with the offers as below...

I tried to book via Maybank link but I couldn't see the 7% discount during checkout after I had key in my cc detail. That's why I called to the customer service and the staff told me it is not longer available according to Maybank website as agoda promotion isn't listed.

This promo is still available but not available for all hotels. After going to agoda.com/maybank and entering the dates and city, hotels eligible for promotion will be tagged "Promotion Eligible" and the 7% will display after entering your Amex card number.

Oh I see. Thanks. Now I know the reason why. By the way, anyone knows if buy things from amazon.com, its better to use amex or visa card?

so the conclusion means any online transaction is in USD, always use AMEX. Other than that, all transactions use visa and mastercard ?

Yes! I always try using Amex all the time. Just wonder does Amex is good for amazon or any oversea online purchase as well
