Why Maybank Amex cannot go through when attempting to purchase Firefly ticket online?

[5140:PaymentValidationError] An unknown error has occured with the form of payment you have chosen. You have not been charged, but due to system failure we cannot accept this form of payment at this time. Please try another form of payment or try again at a later time.

On their FAQ:

1. Can I pay with Visa, MasterCard or Amex for all currencies?
Yes, Visa and MasterCard are accepted for all currencies available on www.fireflyz.com.my. Amex, Maybank 2U, CIMB clicks can be accepted for MYR transaction only.

I actually made sure the currency was MYR.

I actually will be getting my own debit/credit card there locally, hence this would not be used. Just afraid ill have to pay the monthly fee's( not too sure if there is one) without even using the card.

Hello all, if I want to use Public Bank e-banking to pay my credit card statement, is it the only way is to transfer from Public Bank to my Maybank account, then just pay it using my Maybank account?

Or is there anyway I can pay it directly from Public Bank to credit card?

It all depends on the merchant code

Tested on the following

- AEON
- Giant
- Village's Grocer
- B.I.G (Ben Independent Grocer)
- TMC

As long the merchan code matches , then you'll get 8x points. Forgot what's the merchant code for it

I just know this today and my card just get approved...

Can we just make a call to terminate supp card? or is there any other way?

Just want to ask about AMEX Corporate Charge Card.

I have returned the AMEX card back to the company few months back but i still see the card listed under M2u.

I called up Maybankard centre and they informed me AMEX is still shown active even though no transaction.

Then, I called up my previous company to enquire but i was told the card has terminated.

Any ideas how can i prove or terminate my AMEX corporate charge card?

when was it terminated? did maybank confirm card already terminated?

once terminated, dont worry about it. the card cannot be used anyway. it will be removed from M2U after 2-3 months.

Hi,

I cut the top and surrendered it back to my ex-company this February 2014 before CNY.

I didnt realized the card is still there until i saw GST charged to the AMEX corporate card.

When i call maybankard centre they said card is still active even though no transaction.

Then, i check with my ex-company they said already terminated.     

ASk them to send letter to Amex they said, "Sudah lama la you punya card cancelled".
