QUOTE(candysiew @ Jul 23 2014, 03:17 PM)
i have maybank saving account and m2u all these while,
when i expressed interest for mbb2 card online recently,

they call me in 3 days....

then my cards approved in a week time....
then my cards are linked to m2u automarically...
all the above without hassle...

i guess i'm lucky...

but my friend applied through SA, got push around(docs lost, no record, no response from SA etc etc) for almost a month...

the last time she went to maybank branch herself without contacting the SA(fed up), asking for the application status....branch CS checked according to her IC, say no RECORD at all in the stytem...fine, she thought, jz forget it, she dont want to use this stupid card anymore(the card is not stupid but the SA made her mad), but recently she was notified that her  cards are approved! she was so speechless!!!
=========================

by the way, another friend of mine applied for the mbb2 card just last week,
but the SA/branch CS told her the GST is still RM50 only(for both cards) not RM100 as discussed and found out recently for those who approved after 9-Jul-2014.....

anyone has recently apply and get the same answer from bank?

i am thinking if this SA that attend to my friend is not equipped with right information...
this is really not professional if it is true.
*
Most probably. I tried to "test water" although I already read the latest T&C posted by members here, I just act donno and ask the 1U Maybankard Centre guy and they insist that it is RM50 PER CARD now (RM100/year) for GST.

northel, check back your bill statements. how did you pay/clear the GST? to which card?

as long as it's not stated in the bill statement/m2u, can ignore the call smile.gif

i'm curious why maybank calling customers directly to pay GST. doesnt make much sense to call thousands of customers just to chase the GST, without any basis or proofs hmm.gif

Wouldn't GST be directly debited into the card account. Card holder just need to pay the card.
somehow it sounded fishy to call customer to pay GST. just my 2 sen.

new cardholder here...
my 2nd month statement show 8.88% interest although my outstanding is zero as i paid full last month  hmm.gif
*
that just information that you are having 8.88% interest rate and if you not doesn't pay full statement amount, that interest rate will be charge to you..

do not worry about that if you already pay full amount for the statement balance...

Guys, just want a reconfirmation, is the 20 days interest free calculated from the date of transaction or the date of the statement?

Thank you in advance.
