Guys, my Dell U2311H is showing some signs of dying but its covered under premium warranty.

There's no more Dell U2311H so how will Dell go about replacing my units?

They won't give one of their 23 inch non Ultrasharp monitors right?

Cheers

What's the diff P2314H and u2312HM though

They will probably give you this model "P2314H" since this is one of their closest available model.
Or, if they do have refurbish unit, they'll prioritize that instead, so... wish you luck on that... sweat.gif

Edit: Opps, wrong model.

From the specifications point of view, very little different (newer panel used, probably), P series however only exist in Business category, making purchase a bit hard, but still archive-able. Just need to contact your nearest retailer to find out, you can call up Dell to look for your nearest supplier/retailer.

If you however still can find U2312H then you can go ahead... but I won't be sure if it's a new unit.

Well, already setup everything, what do you want to hear? haha

Edit - Maybe im not used to the colour yet, but I feel the colour on my U2311H looks more vivid. Also I don't really like the touch sensitive button, not that sensitive after all

You guys do understand that the Dell U2414H has a serious flaw that it doesn't properly use the correct color profile when it is connected via DP/HDMI from a Nvidia card, right?

The monitor will be recognized as a "HDTV" and will be locked in 16-255 limited range. This is absolutely wrong.
Currently the temporary fix is to force a full range RGB in your own Windows registry, but this is temporary and it doesn't work with every program as it would like a proper switch will.

Some people has reported that the latest A02 revision of the U2414H has fixed this issue, but the power saving freeze bug is still a problem.

same here. I will still prefer at least the power on physical button, instead of the touch button.

i heard Nvidia cards always have profile issues on HDMI but first time i heard on DP hmm.gif

like you mentioned, the colour will be locked under HDTV range instead of monitor range, which is unacceptable

So has this issue been fixed yet?
If not, it doesn't make sense to recommend the U2414h.

True. Nvidia cards are notorious for issues on HDMI, from scaling, to audio passthrough, to setting custom resolutions, and of course color profile issues.
Fortunately (and also unfortunately), Nvidia tends to fix these issues through driver updates but then break them again in the next release. They're inconsistent.

Can anyone recommend a nearly true colour of cheap lcd monitor? U241x is popular here but 23.8" with 1080P okay? Other than Dell ? as its quality scare me away from it(5 years of warranty doesnt help anything for me)
Does Nec Monitor still selling Malaysia?
Currently using samsung 23" got problem, 2 vertical lines and flickering (my only and last samsung product, will never buy this brand)

hmm.... recently bought Dell monitor and only realized that Dell's policy on dark pixel is that they accept 1-5 dark pixels and won't be considered as reject.

For Ultrasharp, such a high end and expensive range of monitor, still can have this kind of relax quality policy...

i think i'm going to ban Dell from my future purchase already....

just posted on my Dell experience...what issue you have with Dell?
As for Samsung, how old is your monitor? after warranty period?
