You guys do understand that the Dell U2414H has a serious flaw that it doesn't properly use the correct color profile when it is connected via DP/HDMI from a Nvidia card, right?

The monitor will be recognized as a "HDTV" and will be locked in 16-255 limited range. This is absolutely wrong.
Currently the temporary fix is to force a full range RGB in your own Windows registry, but this is temporary and it doesn't work with every program as it would like a proper switch will.

Some people has reported that the latest A02 revision of the U2414H has fixed this issue, but the power saving freeze bug is still a problem.

Yup,  discussed before in previous version of this thread....

So has this issue been fixed yet?
If not, it doesn't make sense to recommend the U2414h.

i heard Nvidia cards always have profile issues on HDMI but first time i heard on DP hmm.gif

like you mentioned, the colour will be locked under HDTV range instead of monitor range, which is unacceptable

True. Nvidia cards are notorious for issues on HDMI, from scaling, to audio passthrough, to setting custom resolutions, and of course color profile issues.
Fortunately (and also unfortunately), Nvidia tends to fix these issues through driver updates but then break them again in the next release. They're inconsistent.

Regarding the HDMI/DP color issue on Nvidia cards, Nvidia did say they are targeting a fix for this by November this year, if not early 2015. This isn't official, but the source is from Nvidia's rep; ManuelG.

So yeah, this problem should have been fixed on the driver side since a long time ago. But at least there's some hope now for Nvidia users using HDMI/DP on monitors.

So got an Acer XB271HU coming in for testing.

Fingers crossed, no defects.
From what I've read and gathered so far from owners across the world, the QC and disaster rate is significantly lower than the XB270HU.
