Fiber is not as fragile as many taught.
As long as your connection is fine, don't need to do anything or worry, nor telco will act on something which is working fine.
Fiber is susceptible for "fragile" if the cable is bend or pull excessively.
Fiber although inside is glass, it is protected by insulating materials. It is not exposed, nor as fragile as glass bottle.
A good read on myth of fragile of fiber cable.

What worried me was the drop in connection that one time when the workers tugged at the cable a lot, and the cement that now covers part of the cable, which may eat through or compromise the insulating layer. Insulating materials or not, I noticed that the outdoor black fiber cable is actually thinner than the white indoor one...so while I'm confident that it was designed to withstand weather and temperature, I have my doubts that it is stronger than what it was designed for.As long as your connection is fine, don't need to do anything or worry, nor telco will act on something which is working fine.

But I guess you are right. If TM won't act on a potential issue, there is not much I can do about it.
