Wanted to try higher but my ram won't take +0.3vdimm, everytime i apply +0.3vdimm sure won't boot  laugh.gif . Currently @ F6 bios, see when i feel like OCing higher i will update to F7 bios. My cpu temperature @ET5 always lower than my system temperature lol, kinda pathetic i would say  shocking.gif
*
Same happen to me.. my RAM prob cant take +0.3vDimm.. dont think corsair is good for OC. crap RAM yawn.gif
will upgrade to Mushkin or KVR soon.

well thats normal if u have good airflow inside ur case. when u close ur side panel, the air flow is perfect, or better than when u open ur side panel.. bcoz with side panel off, u'll mess with the airflow coming in and out to ur hardware.
*
yeah..i knw its air flow...but if my casing wif close panel had better air flow y the cpu temp is higher while the system temp drops? supposely is same rite? problem here is my cpu temp is higher in close panel then open panel while my system temp is higher in open panel then close panel... sweat.gif

Well i tried 420x7 earlier this morning, after a while system won't boot  doh.gif . When i set the vdimm to +0.3v, it won't boot at all. The 420x7 was done everything at stock, with only vdimm +0.2v. Lazy to try higher again lar, satisfied with 2.8ghz  laugh.gif . Anyway my system temperature is damn high, always around 45c, took out that thing applied AS5 already + put a small fan on top, still high temperature  sweat.gif .
*
try loosenin the timing lor smile.gif some ram dun like high vdimm...
btw im priming orthos 12hrs ++ @ 430x7 @ 1.35vcore...vdimm +0.3v @ 4-4-4-12..vmch and vfsb +0.2v..
TAT shows load temp is 69-70ºc sweat.gif

Value select also come with diff chip....mine using Power Chip but can run 820MHz@ 4-4-4-12 on +0.3Vdimm with ease.
Like other OCer said...is ALL LUCK...smile.gif

Just did some tweaking, still can't go pass 410FSB, the ram limiting me for sure, can't take more than 0.2vdimm, tried adding VFSB VMch all the same, can't go pass 410 while maintaining stability. 430 can boot though, but not stable enough to load window

I assume you are in an air-con room, Intel TAT read the temp from the processor's core while I guess the mobo reads from its sensor near the processor which is outside of the IHS, this account for the temp difference.

Another possibility is that something's wrong with ET5 reading.
*
FYI, I'm not in a air-condition room... tongue.gif it just that the room temp is cooled bcoz of raining this few days....room temp at night @ 25-26 ºC, morning id like 26-27 ºC. But if I OC the proc, will the TAT software compromise the performance based on it's temp reading?? coz it's a mojor 20ºC different...

not yet...want to re offer me? tongue.gif

Anyway, mine power chip is good till 900Mhz +- 10 Mhz (didnt really stress them). I tried change multiplier from X8 to X7 and FSB up to 450...surprisingly can boot and manage to complete super pi 1M test...but result only slightly better than DDR820. sad.gif
I run the above setting after reading this thread OC Secret. Maybe U guys should give it a try...smile.gif

Maybe U can change multiplier to X6 and bump up yr FSB...see how far U can push yr ram...
BTW, did u burn in yr ram? If not, try use memtest86+ and let it run overnight....might help a little bit...

I mean you don't have to peel off the seal right? You can see the marking on the chips there... Just wanted to know which chips are good and which are not smile.gif

Lazy to try again, very damn sure it's ram problem, cpu can do with low voltage but ram cannot accept +0.3vdimm doh.gif . Everytime i went pass 400 sure won't stay stable for more than 30mins wink.gif
