Notice in Galatians 5:22 as you quoted, the word "fruit"?  Fruit of the Holy Spirit not effort. Fruit in this context means the result of being already Saved not the condition to be saved.

We are born with the ability to think, to reason, to make decision and to act on that decision. This is what God intended us to do. He expects us to fail and He wants us to cry at Him for help.

your answer both are humbling and inspiring to me. the gift of the Holy Spirit... but i dislike to think of a separate entity to Christ. i'm afraid to claim i have what i don't understand. even to say God is on my side is too boastful for me i think. i need God but God may not need me.

i like the song Jesus take the wheel ~ Carrie Underwood. It has a story that i can really connect based on my own exp.

God loves you, trust me.

He came to seek those who are lost in their life, including those who are humble enough to admit they need God, this type God really honours.

Romans 5

Peace and Hope

1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! 10 For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! 11 Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

God us very good. Although we have sins he still seek us so we can be free. He sacrifices himself for us. Sometimes we see truth world is not fair. We shouted to him why this world like this but he has a great plan for us. He wants us become better. I am thankful I have failures in life so I can seek him and ask for help. By the way heaven is very long time. We still need to face the 1000 years millenium era.

The truth is, i did not seek God bcoz i want to be saved. I didnt care about salvation. I didnt care i go to heaven or not. I dont want things that i do not know. But what i know is i need God to help me in my life and i need His protection. And i seek Him for help for things that are beyond my pwer, like the protections to the people i care.

I must admit this is a lifetime journey of discovering God. I know im changing sloely, with my behaviour and personality which i feel very fascinating. Must be God is changing.me. He never fail to amaze.me.

This church in indonesia:
http://www.jkiinjilkerajaan.org/

has sent some intercessor to Syria but not to help those 2 kids, but to bind the strong man and principalities there. When the effects of bindings strong man can be realized on earth (aka revival) dunno... hopefully soon enough...

Quite interesting that those intercessor were so afraid cuz those locals able to identify them as christian, but syrian say "indonesia adalah kawan". Later i know that our races (btw: i am indonesian), my country indonesia and dark skin does not resemble a threat that compared to westerners such as white american / caucasians. So i think malaysian oso can go to syria i think...

c'mon malaysia... malaysia bolehhh... thumbup.gif

Salvation isn't just about the future, it's about now itself.

Having Salvation means being reconciled to God.

If only you know what that actually means. smile.gif

.....the very thing that you asked for.

hmmm.. you know im no wizard in word play. you use so many fancy and flowery words. but u know i hv bad habits. i rarely read Bible. i do not make myself involve in chruch activities. i skip mass most of the time. the last time i went about 1 hlf mth ago (my reason for going was to pray for someone) and i can honestly said an amazing miracle happened to me which i can believe it came from God... still i'm as lazy as i was before. i think God adjusts to my requirements by teaching me through my daily experiences rather than forcing me to study His Word. He understand me. but i need to emphasis here i'm NOT promoting my method to any believers, each relationship is unique and personal. we are children of God, we grow in Christ as time passes.

I just feel Holy Spirit led me to write this. Perhaps because you wrote "each relationship is unique and personal"... Try to tell your self / your brain to think about what Jesus wants. In a deeper word, try to get Jesus heartbeat. No, i will not write about city harvest this time smile.gif

Actually he's using standard English. Despite being number 1 in Asia, Malaysia's English level is really low.

These are also the terms you'll encounter when you read the Bible. They use the closest translation, so it's not Unknown Warrior's fault that it gets fancy. Theological terms have roots in Greek and Latin words, which is also foreign for most Asians.

What version are you reading? If King James is way too out there, NIV is a good modern alternative.

i think i use google. it not only points me to KJV but also to articles that explains those passages i remember long time ago. the prblm is, those articles do not agree with each other. so discerning which is correct and which is just empty flowery justifications to support their beliefs is not easy. i trust only God can guide me to the correct one.

the only bible i know i need to avoid is those from JW.

paper bible i long time never touch. too hard to read those small letters...
