In Singapore, accounting firm look for ACCA only or both ACCA and degree when hiring?
*
audit firm is it?

usually look for ivy league grads, followed by nus/smu/ntu grads, then other tier 1 schools, then acca holders

The MOM only interested in TB.
The company might wanna find out more on this scarred lung, the history behind it, make sure it's nothing serious.
I have a colleague, x-ray showing his lung got a dark spot around 50 cents diameter. End up it's cancer  ohmy.gif

Doctor told me it was old infection in lung, probably tb and i have no risk for infectious. Just wondering who have same situatiin with me and able to pass pre employment medical checkup in singapore? Anyone can share? Thanks.

i believe this map is useful..

http://gothere.sg/maps#q:pasir%20panjang

its hard to say how much u need to bring in, as we dont know how many days u will be there, how much you will be spending or plan to spend on food etc

as for the taxi fare, u will be able to get an estimated fare from the website above

2. SGD 2700.00 is sufficient to stay at singapore and save money? normally how much can be save monthly?

3. My current salary is RM3700.00. Do you think i should take the offer of SGD 2700.00?

1. No need to pay tax in Malaysia as you had paid in Singapore.

2. Can save 1k to 1.5k if not high spender and no commitment (e.g. pay insurance, house or car loan in Malaysia).

3. If you are desperate then can go for it. Else, can look for between 3k and 3.2k. Yet still need to see what other benefits of the current job offered. If the benefits is good, then why not.

Malaysians can get audit jobs in Sg without too much difficulty unless you are choosy about working in big4 or top6 firms.

Of course getting a job there and being able to survive there are two different matters. I'm not talking so much about the pay as the working conditions. Long hours and multiple jobs are quite standard and you experience that in KL too. However, be ready for some discrimination, some bullying and a much more serious work culture.

Sg employers are open to graduates from here, even those from private universities. I know of many graduates getting jobs in banks there, even though these are largely sales jobs.

The main thing is your ability to secure an interview and your being able to articulate yourself at the interview.

All the best!
