I got a call and job offer from company to work in SG. May I ask is it I have to sign the offer letter only the company can proceed to next step for apply employment pass for me? Will the company knows when is the working date or have to wait for the pass to get through by MOM?

I am from Kedah, so I am trying to find out how long I should stay in SG until everything is completed as I can't be going in and out often, the travel can be killing with 12 hours bus journey sad.gif

not so straightforward as 9:1

http://www.mom.gov.sg/foreign-manpower/for...ker-quotas.aspx

anyway just because there is a ratio, doesn't mean companies totally don't hire foreigners mah. they grow in size, add more overall staff then got more quota to hire foreigners liao lor.

when its start implement this policy?

Hi All, want to ask some questions.

1. If a malaysia work in singapore, does he need to pay income tax in malaysia? how to calculate the amount for salary SGD 2700?

2. SGD 2700.00 is sufficient to stay at singapore and save money? normally how much can be save monthly?

3. My current salary is RM3700.00. Do you think i should take the offer of SGD 2700.00?

Hope to hear opinion. All are welcome. smile.gif

To those reached from Changi Airport and planning go to interview place. I may suggest take MRT rather taxi.

For myself go to Singapore with 2 Interview only cost me SGD 30 (including a lunch).

3months notice? @@....your position is what ler? CEO?need 3 months notice?
Even senior management level normally 2 months notice only ar

Actually I notice why some company rather put 3 months as a notice.

One main reason is the company very high turnover.

I not sure this mean a bad thing to those wanna join like myself.

Does Singapore MOM got such regulation whereby need work with a company within ONE year. Else the MOM won't give work pass when you wanna work for next company.

coz currently I planning to work 1 month and look a better job in there too. even thought this company very high turnover.
