At the moment, reading some poison from Preve V20 post, I have ordered 2 units of OBDII bluetooth dongle to play with. It will ship from Hong Kong, and takes up to a month to arrive. Locally selling RM44~50 each.

Using the Torque app, I'll learn to read the car and drive it optimally.
And eventually, when financial situation provides it, I'll proceed with Stage 1 mods.

I'm curious, how do you plug in the OBD2 dongle into the car?

Yes, there is a connector Just below the Steering and almost above to the Brake Pedal.
It will be good if you could also buy an L shape adaptor with extension so that you can keep the Dongle where ever you want.

Always go for a better quality dongle so that you won't have any connection failure problems....
And yes, with the Torque Software, you can see a lot of information.... and good to play with... biggrin.gif

More reads on compatibility:

I think I ordered a clone, we'll see how well that works out.

Do tell us if it is compatible or not. I'm really considering getting one myself smile.gif

Asked around before. For stainless steel can easily go RM 500 above. The one ready made by Works is also around 600 ++ insclusive installation... When i asked exhaust shop they said that is cheap...  hmm.gif

That is indeed cheap for a turbo extractor, you should compare with those other turbo cars, how much they custom make for Evo and SR20 Silvia.. Lucky CFE engine is Rakyat Malaysia affordable force induction engine, so supplier can't ketuk much in order to get the volume sales.

Normal Bluetooth generic OBDII rearder can work with the CFE ecu, as there are not password protected unlike the CPS counterpart with draconian Siemens based EMS700

- EMS by Works, or EFR2T by RS Dyno - piggyback ECU involves cutting wires. Cheaper around RM1k. Wire cutting required. Not much additional information.

If you want EMS 1 by works I have one unit used one (before upgrade to Haltech).. PM me if you interested..

just did my EB's ECU/TCU setting. the power now fill more uuumph.

just to add something here.
there's a big different during cool start.
before, the RPM raised up to 2600 to 2800, and sometime hillup over 3000, before going down and some hickup during idling.
now, it's up only at 1400 shortly, than down to 850. very stable and no more hickup during idling. hope it will last. rolleyes.gif

For an MPV, quite impressive i must say, especially 0-100.
But 100-150 is rather tame... 17s?
Which do you think is the bigger limiting factor? The CVT or small-ish, albeit turbocharged engine?

I think it's the 1.6L Turbocharged engine that lacks sufficient horsepower for pickup of speed above the 100km/h region
(compared to say a 2.4L Estima engine)

Most cars (apart from high end/performance cars) can't do 100-150km/h that fast anyway.
So I suppose for an MPV, the EB's performance is considered decent already nod.gif

For a BUDGET MPV, certainly very decent. thumbup.gif
Just asking opinions, I plan to replace the front seats to stop that annoying "freeplay" sounds and also because my dad complains the seat isn't comfortable for him, compared to his car. Was thinking of recaro sr-11. Is that a good fit for exora, and anyone tried long drives in seats like that?
