did you have similar problem and was solved by doing so?
*
Welcome to my club biggrin.gif
I had this similar problem...

My ride is Jun 2012 model and initially it had this jerking problem (and once in a while in slow driving, mostly in traffic jams, could feel like a big gear slip sort of feeling, eventhough this is gearless sad.gif ), and they changed the OCV for me but as the problem persists, they reflashed the ECU and TCU and the problem got resolved.
Then, exactly one year later the same problem started again so I had to bring it back and got resoled after they reflashed (or updated again) the ECU.

My car is having lot of electronic fittings as I changed the whole Alarm system to 'Easycar' which comes with the Keyless and push button start etc, and Auto Wiper, Auto light etc... So always when checks for error codes, it shows Immobilizer errors which SC always complains icon_rolleyes.gif, so I thought that the ECU updates somehow have got reset due to some overwriting from one of my additional fittings. Anyway the SC in Singapore is kind enough to do the update free for me.

After the updates, the jerking is gone but still have some issues if I Reverse and forward a few times in fast speed..... which I can bear notworthy.gif

is this the reason for the fuel smell in cabin? what do you use to seal it?
*
Take it to SC they will do it for you.
Mine also was having smell inside the cabin which started all of a sudden after 1 year and SC done the sealing.

Depends on what you want from your MPV. To me the only selling point for the Prime is just the captain seats, which looks pretty comfy for long journey trips.
But downside is that the prime is only a 6 seater (due to the captain seats).

I personally took the Premium over the prime because I find that the extra headrest monitors are useless and I prefer the practicality of having a 7 seater rather than a 6 seater. I also really didn't like the fake "wood" trim around the dashboard centre console. Moreover, to me the prime's extra features doesn't justify the extra RM10k.

But like I said, it all depends on what you want smile.gif
*
Totally agree... thumbup.gif
Moreover if you want to do the other fittings of prime other than the Captain seats, e.g. DVD player and Head rest monitors, you can get better ones outside based on your like and pocket. And for the DVD player, you can get the plug in types so there should not be any issues in Warranty also.....

8k difference is worth it, front armrest is important for long journey, nicer interior and electric wing mirror sometimes can be usful too

If budget allows, just go for premium smile.gif
*
Yes, if budget allows go for the premium.
As the 8 to 10k is worth when you look at the Auto-Cruise and the other additional fittings.
Last time, I tried 3 additional fittings for my Standard CPS and had issues.
1. the Seat armrest - the SC tried and couldn't fit as there was no hole in the frame and told me that it can be done only if I upgrade my Seat frame.
2. Fog lamp the centre console wiring in standard doesn't support for the Foglamp (but I saw from the forum one of the Workshop near KL can DIY this).
3. Auto-cruise - forget about this as it will be a major upgrade which none of the SC is willing to do (don't know about outside)
4. Auto Fold Side mirrors - I done this DIY also for my previous CPS and it was very expensive as I bought the Original Auto Fold Side mirrors (from Proton Spare parts) to suite well and do the wiring outside.
So if you end up buying all these things from outside, it will end up paying more than this. Only advantage I could see is the DVD and Monitors you can have as per your choice......

Factory fittings are the perfect ones biggrin.gif

At the same time those additional fittings as well as the features are of no use for you then you may consider standard.

Hi all, EB newbie here. Its my second week driving my White EB. Still contemplating between changing my rims to 17 or 16 since ive read in previous posts that it will void the warranty (specific warranty only on the coil n absorbers?) or totally void the warranty. Thinking of getting a wider 16 with 8jj replacing the ori 6.5 (which saves me a quite a lot coz using back the ori tires)- so so on the look-wise, wont affect much on the performance since the weight will be +- the same as ori.  But..been quoted for such a tempting price for a new sets of 17 tyres and 9jj xxr 527/CV3/Wedssport SA60M - better looking - will affect the performance since it will be heavier and what worries me is voiding the warranty. Some says it will void and some says it wont. Care to really clarify this matter guys?Should i or should i not change to bigger rims.? For  other questions? i will help myself by reading from v1 till v3 of the postings. tq for now.
*
Void Warranty, depends on the SC as some simply complains on each and everything.
But most of them usually don't make noise or take note if you upgrade from 16 to 17..... until you go back to them for Claims for the parts related to Wheels...
For my case it was the SC which helped me to switch notworthy.gif the 17inch Rims and tyres between my old CPS to new CFE as I was doing a trade in from them only... (don't ask me which one biggrin.gif ).

Hey for what i know, this guy is correct.Keyless means you don't use any keys to get into your car but instead just press the unlock button.if no keyless entry system then you have to slot the key into the slot and turn it to unlock the car.
*
Yes, Keyless entry means it is using a remote to Arm or Disarm the alarm and together with that it will unlock the Door locks.
So for exora it has got the Keyless entry but don't have the Push Start as you could see in Preve.

For my CFE soon after the 1k service , I fitted the Easy Car alarm System (a Korean one) which I'm using for abt more than 1.5yrs (before that used the same in my CPS for 2 yrs). This one got Keyless with Push Start, Remote Engine Start, Auto Glass wind up, Auto side Mirror Close etc.....
Guaranteed Void Warranty for electronics wink.gif

should be somewhere below the steering area...
*
Yes, there is a connector Just below the Steering and almost above to the Brake Pedal.
It will be good if you could also buy an L shape adaptor with extension so that you can keep the Dongle where ever you want.

Always go for a better quality dongle so that you won't have any connection failure problems....
And yes, with the Torque Software, you can see a lot of information.... and good to play with... biggrin.gif

I saw the video few times, and learned that at 100kmh, the engine is at 4.5k RPM.
From what I was told, this turbo starting to lose some boost at RPM >4k. We'll need a boost meter, or the OBD2 to tell.
After that, I think you release the accelerator at 130kmh, as observed from the RPM dropping from 5k to 4k before rising again. So, I think 17s for 100-150kmh is not as accurate as it can be, could be less.

When I get my OBD2, a few things I'll pay attention to, if available:
- boost pressure
- AFR
- fuel trim - ECU is long known to 'learn' the driver's habit. So, a car should not be driven by 2 or more drivers
- etc etc... whichever makes more meaning to my end goal
*
Yes, you will be able to see most of the details...
Pls be careful when you are using it while driving due to the position which is just above the Brake Pedal (So a L connector will be a better option)

Also include Complementary Glass treatment....

I feel that the Painting on my Exora (Elegant Brown) is very thin.... it's getting lots of scratches compared to my earlier CPS which was Silver. Or maybe it is due to that it is very visible in Elegant Brown when compared to Silver.....

Heard that normal Wax and polish will remove a thin layer each time we do it.

My friend done a Glass coating some time back for his sedan which is similar to Sierraglow and it looks good now also...
Understand that Sierraglow guarantees for 3 to 5 yrs.... so one time Wax and Polish and if it can stay upto 3 to 5yrs... it's good....
Only thing is that have to drive all the way until PJ to do this...... as they don't have any outlet in JB side......

hi, any bros here changed to aftermarket drop in filter? does it really have this sound coming out? i thought only open pod filter will have this sound?

*
Sorry, just to share a joke which happened to me while I changed the Filter for my earlier CPS with an aftermarket one...
The filter was not with the accurate spec and the accessories shop (in Permas Jaya), forcefully fixed the filter inside and I also didn't notice...
So while driving I was getting a bit of Whistle sound which gave a turbo feeling biggrin.gif and I thought it will be like that for this filter.... and was happy...
During the service at SC only found out that one of the clamp to close the Filter lid was broken and that the sound was coming from there... biggrin.gif

Maybe you can try the T- Back Cover or popularly known as Tonneau Cover product.

The Autoaid in PJ have 2 colours for the Proton Exora - Tonneau Cover, Grey and Black. I was also lookong for one recently....

Grey - RM 330.00  &  Black – RM 480.00

Did the Glassglow coating on Monday.
The Car now looks better than when it came out of the Showroom... rclxm9.gif

Last year I did a normal Wax and Polish and that created lot of swirl marks everywhere...
So they removed that as well as all the minor scratches before doing the coating.....
(hope it will last for some time..... let's see...)

It is a small layer of coating above the paint to protect the paint and keep the shinning.
You can read it in the below url...

Adui, not like that, just my memory bad. Then I'm corrected.
May I know what tuning did you do?

All of a sudden my OBDII adaptor could not connect to ECU...
Was trying out for my recent long trip but could not establish a connection with ECU (connection to adaptor is successfully shown in the Torque).
Seems like some parameter is not correct.....
