yeah. i played many many times with this estima. if we shoot from 120, they not even close to the tailgate. at 160 they almost surrender. at 180 they just said, "ok, go ahead, you won". biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Yes, you will be able to see most of the details...
Pls be careful when you are using it while driving due to the position which is just above the Brake Pedal (So a L connector will be a better option)

Just asking opinions, I plan to replace the front seats to stop that annoying "freeplay" sounds and also because my dad complains the seat isn't comfortable for him, compared to his car. Was thinking of recaro sr-11. Is that a good fit for exora, and anyone tried long drives in seats like that?

I can barely see the front with such high stock seats..putting a recaro I'm not sure can see the road...

Btw..the free play sound can it be fixed? It got sound at my passenger seat...

I too, think that the 100-150km/h time could be less, especially considering that I did not turn off the air conditioning.
The rpm did drop a bit although I am certain that I floored the pedal throughout. CVT gearbox characteristic, maybe?

putramon I think need to modify the reclining mechanism, or just some lapik at the mounting. Let me find out more, and update.

mandrew I ordered the mini version, and I hope it has no problem, especially worried about it getting overheated and hang.

Today check tyre pressure, dropped to 30psi after a month, all 4 tyres.
No wonder the acceleration FC increased by 2L. This car really sensitive to tyre pressure.

Also, do you guys notice the turbo whistling sound when you drive?
In my case, sometimes when I accelerate steadily, the turbo whistle will come and go.

Another tip during uphill driving: If you're stuck behind a lorry, and you're climbing real slow at steady speed, turn on the SAT mode, to improve FC. In my case, at ~40kmh, RPM dropped to 1.6k. When you need to accelerate, then switch off SAT mode.

For highway driving, during steady cruising, SAT mode saves fuel better than CVT.

Update to my experiment with cat-removed exhaust (on my other experiment NA car), normal mileage per tank is 370km. I replaced the extractor to non-cat during half tank mark after 250km, and now the car already at 370km, with another 5% left. Until the next refuel, I will confirm if will change Exora downpipe to non-cat.

Love to hear the result of CAT experiment, somesay it can decreasing turbo heat. About tire pressure i use 98% nitrogen air. 3 month only drop 1psi.

One concern is that there are two O2 sensors, each located before and after the CAT. When the sensors do not detect a change in O2 level between them, it would assume CAT malfunction and trigger CEL. I'll update with more findings.

You need O2 sensor simulator, but i dont know where to find this. Maybe can try ask Conti Performance kaki

Hi all..

Already received my EB on 21 April. My EB colour Elegant Brown. Plus and minus, this car is great. Already clocked 900 kilometres and need a 1 st service.

1. This car need a good balancing. shaking steering at 110km/h

I didn't look at the vid earlier... just looking at the figure.
On the CVT, i got to know that it behaves quite peculiarly where it disallows the engine to 'redline'. Yeah i know it's not a race car but I'm curious on how much that affects the turbo spool.

I think Exora Bold is the best value product proton has to offer right now although there's still a lot of room for improvement. Minor things are like fit & finish and overall built... but it all adds up. Hoping for huge leap in quality for the next gen. I'm not too obsessed with badge prestige and willing to pay > rm100k for a proton, provided it's good enough.

Does rear aircon have cabin filter?

I know the front got, its the washable type. I've clean it myself last year. But some say washable type does not filter tiny dust particle like the paper type does
