Fold like a B but it is not a B .... 😊

Honestly speaking, i would suggest the price to be at most Rm2k (which wont happen).

If Rm2k can get huge number of people to cycle to work + lrt, we can reduce a lot of cars on the road.

Why should bicycle producer/distributor/merchant care whether people cycle to work? Profit more important =)

Hi everyone. Just want to share something about foldie here. I've been searching for folding bike at the moment and there's something I can share out.

For some high speed bike:
XDS afb710 18sp = RM 1700 (22" wheel size 501, 56t crank primary, high speed folding bike but size might look a lil bit clumsy for a Foldie)

Java fit 16sp = RM 1500-RM 1600 (almost the same specs as trinx ka2016d, but advantage of alloy fork, seal bearing hub, 406 tires, 52t primary crank)

GTA 16sp = RM 800-RM 900 (same frame as trinx ka2024 model but with 53t primary crank, got disc brakes or v-brakes options, disc brakes using 406 while v-brakes using 451 tires)

Trinx fa/ka2016/ka2016d 16sp = RM 750-RM 850 (406 tires for disc brakes and 451 tires for v-brakes, 52t primary crank)

TRS vane 16sp = RM 850 (quite heavy, with disc brakes, 451 tires, 52t primary crank)

For just leisure ride:
Dahon vybe c7a 8sp = RM 900 (more like buying the frames as those specs is just normal specs, expensive upgrade in future when necessary, 406 tires, no quick release)

Amis 2.1 24sp = RM 1000 (design about khs bike, 451 tires , small cransket but quite nice welding works done on frames itself and the wheel hub quite smooth not to compare java fit, only the colour might / might not be acceptable by some people)

XDS afb260/afb280 7-8sp, RM 850-RM 1000 (solids frames but quite heavy among all. For normal leisure ride)

Java TT = RM 750 (quite light weight, fixed rd hanger, no quick release)

Oyama skyline pro 14sp = RM 1100 (nice welding works on frames, fixed rd hanger, but using SRAM rd, shimano fd, sram shifter)

This is something I had saw this few weeks.

More ppl cycle to work = more people buy bicycle = more profit.

However, I can't deny that people price alone doesn't encourage people to ride bicycle to work. If it does, then there should already be a lot of people riding to work because you can find a lot of decent bikes below RM1.5K price tag.

Haven't bought yet. Will buy it, when i make my final decision. Ka2024 not available here. Even checking the Taobao website ard 1500yuan + (shipment ard RM 210), also not really worth it. So, will buy here in KL/Selangor area unless i got time to drop by to Melaka.

Bro Shiro. Either you can go for Dahon vybe c7a or XDS afb260. Both of these foldie quite good if you wanted to bring your kids to ride in your housing area. Among these 2, I will go for XDS afb260 which is having quick release wheels.

An idea of what you can do yourself. A customized 16 inch Dahon or FnHon foldie. Much smaller than a regular 20 inch when folded. This particular unit is only 9 kgs.

Litepro seat post, seatpost clamp and Litepro Spirit handlebar.
Dahon adjustable handle post.
FnHon frame and fork with sealed bearing Litepro headset.
FSA crank with 52/39T Shimano 105 chainrings.
Tiagra 10 speed flat bar roadbike shifters.
Tiagra rear derailleurs, Sora front derailleurs and Tiagra 10 speed chain.
Shimano Deore V-brakes and brake levers.
Novatec sealed bearing hubs.

Wow! But looks really nice, 20 speed, 9kg, decent components. It's fair I guess.
