Although the frame has a lifetime warranty, do check your seat post length. Problem with this frame is, it is a KHS copy but KHS uses Reynolds chromoly while this is aluminium and what grade is not sure. Aluminium has larger spot welds and if they are not heat treated (which I don't think this is anyway) , they will weaken the frame. So be careful and make sure your seat post is long so the seat tube is double layered. I have a friend who uses the Buffalo foldie (which incidently is the same frame biggrin.gif ) and broke the seat tube! He is a tall rider and hence the seat post is adjusted high and the seat tube broke near the welding area. Also if you notice Dahon and Tern has large diameter seatpost. This is because, for folding bikes, many seat post are adjusted very high and the seat post has to be strong which means heavy metal is preferred. Even the lighter Lite Pro seat post are rated for riders till 75 kg only!

In doubt if folding bikes can do LIGHT off road riding? Yes it can and a group of us did the Cameron Highland's Thompson Graveyard Trail last weekend. I say light off road, ya! Not those technical table top jumps. tongue.gif

Went to My Bicycle Shop recently.

There is a dude came and asked for a folding bike. He said he wanna commute from home to LRT station for work. About 5km distance. Then the worker started to introduce some models to him -KHS, Dahon, Tern, etc. I left after done my stuff.

I didnt interrupt because respect to the owner, else i would suggest something else.. lol..

Few days back, our friends mentioned something about be mindful when you bring your folding bike into LRT (not KTM ya).

What he meant by be mindful is to wrap/cover your bike with a cover or bag your bike when you bring into LRT. But i DONT. Hahaha.

Honestly speaking, how many of you bag your folding bike when using LRT? Do you bring your 'naked' folding bike into the LRT during 7am to 80am and 5pm to 630pm?

Let's discuss

Anyone itchy enough to buy a Brompton?

I'm putting my mint S6R for sale. Have appeared on these pages before. Yellow.

Current price including front C-bag and Brookes saddle is RM7100

Hardly used, always sitting inside a bag, in the cupboard! Never seen rain. I've got too many bikes, not enough time to use.

Have advertised elsewhere, so if interested, PM me. Available CNY, that's when I'm back in KL. Reasonable offers only.

7100 quite pricey..

Brand new M6R is Rm6000++, C bag about 500++, brooks also 500++

Your yellow S bar B is 2011/2012 version (depending on your B serial number).. There is one S6L turkish green/sage green, 2012 version (second hand unit) sitting in Vans Urban now.. The price is around Rm4500 without Brooks and C Bags.. i nego-ed for Rm3500 but my friend (selling on behalf his friend, lady rider) said cannot and refused to pass me the owner phone number (i guess he wanna earn a chunk of money there).. then i didnt ask further anymore.

Maybe you wanna revise your price, i might consider it.

I had a hard time to sell of my Raleigh Ugo even it is just hundred..

Why dont you keep Brooks saddle for other bike? Brooks will season according to rider's butt..
