QUOTE(andrewhtf @ Feb 20 2014, 07:29 AM) Imduno about others but i only lube when i sees the chain is dry. And qith my current riding pattern, it would be quite some time between lubing. Chain dry is better than wet. When it is wet, you can see the light reflection. It makes me feel uneasy because it is OIL there.. When it is dry, i like it. But the chair looks blackie because of the lube dried and deposited like solid as the sand/dust stick to it. So eventually i become uneasy as well. While cycling, it is easy to notice the chain rubbing the teeths sound. That is how i gauge when to lube. I have yet to lube my chain with proper lube (using singer oil all this while) So, i bought this for Rm50. Before using it, i need to clean my chain first, might as well give a SPA to my UGO too. Dishwasher liquid is ready. Just need a time and little bit of effort/discipline to move my butt to clean. Hahaha. ![]() |

QUOTE(Ghosthunter @ Feb 20 2014, 09:28 AM) Thanks, If you can tolerate the squeaky metal sound that comes from folding part of stem post in UGO, then you can get it. I forgot to mention that i have tested a VOLCANO Folding bike, 21 speed bike at Taman Melawati yesterday which was for Rm850.00,but since i never heard of VOLCANO bike before , i walked away , but i am still open to opinions, if anyone cares to share his/her experience on this. many say the UGO seems better , i may spend slightly more to get a better folding bike as i believe its money well invested , but i need experienced forum members help here in what may be a better bike and where i can get it at..my budget is 1.5K Anyone , thanks... Brake pad may give some loud sound when u brake. It is annoying but it is good to let people know your presence when you brake or sudden brake. At first, i was thinking to get AirZound (horn like LORRY) but i think my brake pads works the same. LOL. This post has been edited by zeliustitan: Feb 20 2014, 09:45 AM |

QUOTE(pigduck @ Mar 10 2014, 12:23 AM) Want to buy a foldable bike - checked out rodalink and they had dahon, tern and lerun. they handed me a tern brochure and the bike's all look the same - but the price seems a bit expensive for dahon and tern. since you mentioning about myvi car boot, i guess you need a very compact bike. Not sure which between dahon/tern that fits you but brompton has no prob. Try to ask the shop to test whether can fit into you myvi car boot or not.I did an online research and realised there are even more brands - lerun, trinx, giant, ori, hasa, birdy, java, doppleganger, volcano - how do I pick?! - The person riding won't be very tall - around 5 feet and a female - just starting out and wants to ride for recreation and exercise but wants to explore more things - wants the bike to be portable and to fit in the boot of her myvi - obviously the most affordable but then it depends - if it rides well, then the person will want to ride more and if it doesn't ride as well, then they will ride it less - riding on roads and maybe slight terrain - easy to fold - light - portable - may want to take it on travels How do I pick? What do you suggest? Light bike doesn't come cheap. average weight is 12. to 14kg? |

QUOTE(dannygeni @ Mar 11 2014, 02:04 PM) jus give them a call now.. i think they have the stock but dont wan to let public to know .. hahaoh ya better be fast, who knows your favourite color, speed or anything grabbed by someone else.. Brompton is not like other brands. it is handmade and required at least 3 months to order.. Plus, distributor wont order jus 1 or 2 brompton at a time.. probably one year order once, depending on demand.. this time round, i think they are ordering more than 100 bromptons (one kontena) as some will be distributed to the dealers..
