Just having a dinner with a friend at Shang Palace Restaurant, Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.

When paying for the bill, the waiter was not aware that the Amex Reserve has 50% off for the bill, for 2 guests. He told me that only the Amex without Maybankard logo, in silver color and grey color has the discount.

I told him that this Amex Reserve is a newly launched card, ask him to recondite with the manager. Then only he go and ask someone to check. Finally, yes! As per what was stated in Maybank webpage. 50% off the bill!! ( for food only, drink excluded.)

I've only ever used one of the Amex 50% off deals once, although Maybank keep sending me the offers in the post quite often. Should really make use of these more often!

i am more concern with them making losses of 1.1B last year, wonder if they would cut off the annual EM promo. Was on their flight last night and it's only 40 - 50% occupancy.

They need a major turnover else wont be able to surface up. among those, the food contract which last 25 years...

Hi, Did the Amex reserve card's second card (the Visa Infinite) get the usual perks of the Maybank VI card, such as Free Hilton Premium Club membership, 1 for 1 dining, and Golf privilege?.. thanks for clarify in advance.

So in total you deposited 50k and get mb amex 2 card, VI and the amex premier 2 card?.. wow..

The features and the benefits of the MBB 2 Premier VI is same with the generic VI.

BTW, i think no more free Hilton Premium Club membership for both VI.

I just came back from Melbourne, and I was happy that my new MBB 2 Cards Premier were at home to welcome me back, hahaha.

Total RM70k, RM20K for MB2 , 50K for VI then Premier was added on without additional FD.

just called CS to check my application status and it's rejected, then I offer to pledge FD, CS said she unsure regarding that and will call me back within 10mins.

Then she called back, and mentioned that I have already have my income document in their system due to I'm their exisitng customer, and I had to prove them that I meet their min RM180k requirement instead, pledge FD is not an option for my case, even I offer to pledge for 50k.

You may try to deal with a branch officer rather than card center cs... Card center don't handle pledge FD application... Your FD holding branch do.

the bank officer told me other way around, ask me to deal with CS first, I'm talking to Maybank Plat CS anyway, @1800-88-1801, I heard there is AMEX CS, does it make any different?

might as well declare as no income that way
