The points are tied up to respective cards even if I cancel all the cards? How do you consolidate the points between existing Amex and MC(Maybankard2),  principal and supplementary cards? Thank you.
*
the redemption process will consolidate all your accounts automatically and make average withdrawal.

during redemption, just give 1 of your principle card (amex or mc/visa)

* Refer to attached photo, first card is principle, second card is supplementary. I gave them the principal during redeeming Parkson voucher, over the CS counter.

I've never submitted any income documents to Maybank before.

Pledged RM20K for MBB2 cards, then RM50K for VI

Now applied for this card which was approved without issues, and didn't have to sign any document/stamping etc. like previous.

So I think if you offer to pledge RM50K is sufficient ...
*
May I know to whom you deal on the application?

Another Q, 20K for MBB2Cards, RM50k for VI, then another RM50k for the M2Premier?

I were searching around and found ppl mentioning the FD need to lock for 12 months, and then free to withdraw after that. But some said once FD withdrawn, CC need to cancel too..

I called twice to apply for the card..they insist me to fill up the new application form too
*
I went to a branch just now, talk to the officer, he get me fill in a form (forgot the title, not ordinary CC application form), then I have my current MBB2Cards info filled in, together with some basic personal info, then at remark section he wrote that I'm interested with the M2C Premier.

He then said will submit to card approval centre, and ask me to call CS a week later to check on the status. Asked him regarding the pledge FD stuff, he said need to wait HQ to decide, if they accept pledge, they will inform the branch then only I do the pledge.

Pledge FD is subject to approval too, he can only assist, cannot approve on the spot, need permission from the HQ, and funny thing is, he doesn't know the Premier card exist, haha.

I suppose all are covered with insurance, it's not like they have a plane down every year.

i am more concern with them making losses of 1.1B last year, wonder if they would cut off the annual EM promo. Was on their flight last night and it's only 40 - 50% occupancy. wink.gif
*
They need a major turnover else wont be able to surface up. among those, the food contract which last 25 years...

thanks for the feedback

doh.gif just called CS to check my application status and it's rejected, then I offer to pledge FD, CS said she unsure regarding that and will call me back within 10mins.

Then she called back, and mentioned that I have already have my income document in their system due to I'm their exisitng customer, and I had to prove them that I meet their min RM180k requirement instead, pledge FD is not an option for my case, even I offer to pledge for 50k.

are you existing premier card holder?
*
nope i'm not.

QUOTE(Wongchoy @ Mar 13 2014, 08:35 PM)
You may try to deal with a branch officer rather than card center cs... Card center don't handle pledge FD application... Your FD holding branch do.
*
the bank officer told me other way around, ask me to deal with CS first, I'm talking to Maybank Plat CS anyway, @1800-88-1801, I heard there is AMEX CS, does it make any different? rclxub.gif

The correct way would be like this...Bring along your FD cert to your holding branch. If you don't have it , open a FD acct. Then apply for the card and say that you want to pledge for this card. Finally you submit the application form together with your income docs and FD cert .
*
Noted! Thanks for sharing. Will try again next week, need to get back the same officer to appeal, else need to wait 3 months.

QUOTE(bearbear @ Jun 24 2014, 04:56 PM)
For those who are interested to pledge FD;

Kindly be informed that, you may apply Maybank Credit Cards by pledging Fixed Deposits.
If you have already have an existing Fixed Deposit, you may send the Credit Card application together with the Fixed Deposit certificate and please attach a letter to indicate your interest to apply Maybank Credit Card by pledging Fixed Deposit and the amount that you would like to pledge. Once the application received and process, the processing unit would send out a letter to inform whether they agreeable to the amount that you are interested or they would suggest a new amount to pledge.

If you do not have any existing Fixed Deposit, you may send the Credit Card application with a letter to indicate your interest to apply Maybank Credit Card via pledging Fixed Deposit. Once the application received and process, the processing unit would send out a letter to inform the amount of Fixed Deposit that you need open at any Maybank branch in order to pledge with the credit cards.

However, the credit decisions are still made based on our Bank's credit assessment.

*
they just don't welcome me.

At first I sent the application form and a letter mentioned I willing to pledge, and rejected.

Few days later I sent an appeal letter attached with 50k FD cert from mbb, and rejected too..

No restriction but bank is all about risk, when you hold so many CC it also meant that risk is higher?

Just wonder if you hold any Maybank CC in one of your 8 / 9 cards?
*
Yes I do have Maybank2Cards Platinum, with a pathetic credit limit of 16k. Always need to pay advance to use it, more like a debit card to me

The rest of cards just low usage, stop using after hitting cash back allowance

As long as you have MBB2 cards , this card makes not much a difference. Unless you are chasing Enrich miles.

You are right, that's the main reason. Wanna try once for long haul business class flight!!

Yeah, best for collecting enrich miles! Other benefit is also Priority Pass x 5 annual usage if you need that. Some of the dining discounts are also not bad, only used it once though.

What did you declare as your annual income when offering to pledge FD? When I applied MBB2 cards I put FD of 20K, income as 60k , for VI 50k FD and income as whatever the minimum was for that card. Then used the same FD as for the VI against Premier application , and again put income as minimum stated for those cards.
*
I just write 180k (minimum requirement) there...

maybe your CCRIS or CTOS record not that good..
or u are high risk customer..e.g. too many card, have alot of loan and etc...
*
CCRIS or CTOS no black dot, just have few housing loan and those cards, all prompt payment.

If they willing to share what is the reject reason, it might make me have better peace of mind. Not like this, i have no idea what to do next rclxub.gif
