QUOTE(TheAdmiral @ Apr 9 2014, 12:16 PM) dont go for ver ka. Its innerframe is abs, very inflexible, very stiff, brittle when expose to lacquer, and the waist joint is a crime against humanity. Despite the joint design remain the same in the ver OVA, just because the plastic is ps fix all the above problem. Just get the OVA. U wan the ver ka decals, get it aftermarket. i never bought any ver ka kits before, so this is coming as a surprise to me - all ver ka kits have ABS inner frame ? how is that diff from normal MG inner frame ? |

For some its fine, some dont work as well (case in point sinanju ver ka). Newer kits r all ps regardless of what ver it is. This post has been edited by TheAdmiral: Apr 9 2014, 02:26 PM |

personally, I think any kits if just snapfit, there's no complication at all, everything just follow by the manual
Bandai's snapfit technology is so darn good, that you don't even need brain power or skills to build their kits QUOTE(verdangilte @ Apr 9 2014, 12:45 AM) ya..those turtle compressor ...actually i wan to ask. what is the different between those mini compressor and the cylinder piston type ? the cylinder piston compressor allows you to control your pressure output, plus not only reliable, can handle long duration of operation, it also have consistent air pressure output for better controlso far i know the turtle compressor will easy overload and need cool down QUOTE(Cactite @ Apr 9 2014, 12:05 PM) can just buy ova ver then buy the waterslide decals separatelyQUOTE(carpathia @ Apr 9 2014, 02:16 PM) i never bought any ver ka kits before, so this is coming as a surprise to me - all ver ka kits have ABS inner frame ? how is that diff from normal MG inner frame ? ABS is is a common plastic in MGs, not only Ver Kait's only newer kits like Nu Ver Ka, Jesta, Sazabi Ver Ka, etc replaced the ABS with a more flexible and paint friendly plastic This post has been edited by General_Nic: Apr 9 2014, 02:27 PM |

Hi guys, just wondering is there anyone will want to buy a fully assembled Mg Sazabi ver ka (out of box), no paneling, no paint, no decal. But all nibs are cut and sand properly... ready to be prime.
I bought my Sazabi ver ka in January and took a month to slowly build the kit. My initial plan is to have it properly spraypainted,,, sand>prime>color>topcoat... as sazabi has always been my favorite mecha and like everyone else, I have been waiting the ver ka for a long time. But now I find myself impossible to have the time and energy to paint them. Since I stayed in Condo, and spraying is very inconvenient too. (spraycan. no airbrush) Anyway I still love how the sazabi is designed.. and it definitely look menacing from every angle. For the first time, before I do any penal line, I already find the kit to be very presentable. I will even prefer it without all the extreme busy decal as it is already very detail looking right out of the box. But something bout this kit a little bit bothering me. I think is because of its massive size, the kit feel a little bit hollow and less solid. Something that when I try to hold it, I do not feel confident with its build. Guess I am a little spoiled by higher quality toys these days, metal build gundam and hot toys figure for example. Not that I play with my gundam kit a lot like a kid... but I kinda change their pose quite often.. maybe once a week since I only keep a few piece that I really like on display... and not having a shelf full with collection. So I was hoping for something a little bit more solid and long lasting. I was planning to sell this kit and also to fund for my other hobby. If there is anyone like to buy the sazabi from me, please PM me. I have put a lot of care in sanding all the nibs away. There are minor scratches from the sanding, as I was planning to prime them. I guess if there are people who will like to have a second sazabi for their custom build, but will like to skip all the pain in rebuild n resand the same part the second time...this will be suitable for you. If interested I can snap some photos of it. |

QUOTE(nazrul90 @ Apr 9 2014, 01:02 PM) get OVA ver, you get an extra weapon equipment, the whole inner frame is not ABS plastic so can paint safely with lacquer base paint.. the bad thing you get lesser decals than ver KA QUOTE(TheAdmiral @ Apr 9 2014, 01:16 PM) dont go for ver ka. Ok, I will get the ova ver, since I always paint my kits, dont like the plastic look. And I dont mind the decals cuz can get it anywhere. |

It's damn frustrating and difficult to remove from the runners. Maybe I don't know a better technique but I found myself using my teeth to remove it..lol. I like Zaku but whenever I think about building that part...i'd end up not buying it. |

For me, if you want to begin building MG (I mean if you wanna start gunpla-ing but don't wanna start with HG @ SD), I highly suggest you start with MG Freedom. Not too simple, not too complex, and still got stylish design.
And its also comes with a stand that will make you feel worth-ed buying MG for the first time. And MG Freedom price won't be as high as Sinanju and just a bit more than Zakus. But that's my opinion la. Me myself start MG line with MG Wing Ver KA. (That's the reason my avatar is Wing Ver KA) This post has been edited by afsarudy: Apr 10 2014, 10:54 AM |
