You should do all such backup on thumb drive through usb otg cable. Use twrp recovery to do nandroid backup . N5 internal memory already so small n you are wasting space unnecessaryThis post has been edited by benny888: Feb 13 2014, 02:22 PM |

QUOTE(dEvILrOx @ Feb 13 2014, 01:09 PM) Come to think of it, I think this is more practical as it is much easier to transfer stuff into it as it is like a USB flash drive. But only limited by the capacity... |

Another caught my eyes was at least i dont need to carry the cable all around. travelling helps a lot. and I can just plug to any PC, copy and load from my devices. |

What is a data media device?tl;dr TWRP: factory reset will not wipe your internal sdcard. To be safe, just do a backup. Edit: same with CWM. Assuming same with PhilZ too. factory reset doesn't delete your internal memory, format internal memory does.

QUOTE(C-Note @ Feb 13 2014, 02:37 PM) All phones have only one internal storage, rest are expandable (external). In Nexus 5, the internal storage is actual in /data under /data/media. TWRP's method of wiping data in factory reset: QUOTE Since /data/media is part of /data, we pretty much never actually format the data partition. Formatting data, of course, also removes the media folder that contains the internal sdcard. When you choose a factory reset, instead of formatting, we use rm -rf commands to remove all the folders except for the media folder so that we can remove all of your apps and settings while leaving your "sdcard" intact. In TWRP we also have a wipe internal storage option that rm -rf's the media folder and a "Format Data" option that formats to recreate the entire file system in case something goes completely wrong or to remove device encryption. |

QUOTE(-kytz- @ Feb 13 2014, 01:02 PM) IMHO being able to palm a 8 inch tablet would be a crucial factor because if you can palm it, you would choose a 8inch over a 7inch any day (my opinion la) I had experience with 10" tablet ( Toshiba 1st tablet ), it's huge, heavy and not convenient to play game. But if you can't palm it, then it would be treated like a normal 10" tablet where you have to use 2 hands to navigate through it which would make more sense getting a 7" if you prefer top palm it using one hand and the other to use the touchscreen functions |

Is the warranty from google play store an international warranty?
For example, if I get an Australian set, can I claim warranty in Japan's google play store? |
