hmm Nexus 6 » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Google Nexus 6 release date is set on May 17, according to a report.
Motoring Crunch cited an unnamed South Korean source claiming the successor of Nexus 5 will arrive on the expected date alongside LG G3.

The report claimed LG will be bringing out its guns early to have a head-on battle with Samsung, its main rival. The latter is set to introduce Galaxy S5 at the same time to gain an advantage in the smartphone market.
Also, the report said LG's decision is brought by LG G2 did not sell quite well and the company wants to probably gain an upperhand by releasing its successor earlier than usual. The handset is supposed to impress the consumers through its high-end specs. The report added LG G3 will pack a 5-inch screen display with QHD 2560 x 1140 pixel resolution, an octa-core processor, and 16 MP camera with OIS technology.
If this rumor is true, LG should be working on the device by this time. But there are no signs that the company is releasing the device anytime soon.
The recent Motorola-Lenovo merger signaled that LG may no longer be working on the next Nexus smartphone. Lenovo bought Motorola from Google signing a $2.9 billion contract. Once the details are straightened, Lenovo will be the third largest smartphone seller.
iDigitalTimes reported Lenovo could be in charge in manufacturing the Nexus 6. Two things can happen, it is either Lenovo or Motorola will work on the device. If this is the case, Nexus 6 can be a real threat to other Android smartphones.
Meanwhile, there is also the possibility that consumers may not be able to see the successor of Google Nexus 5. Tech industry Analyst Eldar Murtazin said Google will drop the Nexus line shifting its attention to the Google Play Editions of other Android smartphones. But Google remained tight-lipped about its timeline and future plans.
There were rumours that Google chickened out in making its own hardware due to the possibility of Samsung embracing the Tizen OS. Samsung played an immense role in the popularity of Google's Android.

QUOTE(NightFelix @ Feb 7 2014, 09:47 AM) So far I only see Books, but not Apps in MYR. someone mind to share which apps you saw? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...googleplay.FFVIExample very highly depending on developer during publish of apps, is they allowing the app to be publish on local currency or not. QUOTE Keep in mind that these locations may have already been showing local currency in Google play, but now devs can actually set a price in that currency. Without this support, the Wallet transaction is processed in a different currency, even if the Play Store converted to your local one. Google will do automatic conversions for developers who don't set prices for all the new currencies by February 12th. Those will be the prices going forward unless developers change them.

QUOTE(-kytz- @ Feb 13 2014, 02:28 PM) Come to think of it, I think this is more practical as it is much easier to transfer stuff into it as it is like a USB flash drive. But only limited by the capacity... Another caught my eyes was at least i dont need to carry the cable all around. travelling helps a lot. and I can just plug to any PC, copy and load from my devices.

QUOTE(xxdesire @ Feb 18 2014, 10:51 AM) Read it this morning before work and I have to disagree on Google's move. Not everyone wants a SD card slot for their devices but having one for extra storage just in case is not hurting anyone. Majority of Android users prefer the option of a SD slot. I opt for USB OTG geh, constantly reading SD card will damage them. Some OEM makers throws in Class 2 SD card and we have friends and relative complaint missing photo and stuff from SD cards. With SD card i can do a full backup of your phone and load into different devices, take my time to scoop the data. like what we flashaholic does

QUOTE(Someonesim @ Feb 19 2014, 07:56 PM) Yup, big question on this, not sure if Nexus 5 ROM had these quick cover mode or not. If check the note 3 also required the chip embedded along with original note 3 case in order to make them work. But nexus 5 is unique where it no longer have the 3 pin like other nexus have.
