I need some help. My Alza fuel meter is having some problem. Normally after I pump full petrol...the gauge will show range of apprx 432 or 440km. After that..i will reset the trip to zero. Then after few days driving, can see the fuel finish so fast and the range also drop very fast. Only reach like 292 or 300km.

Can anyone tell me what happened? My car is only 1 1/2 years old.

Please help.

the range meter isn't accurate at all. sometimes it stopped at some range and sometimes it flactuate. mine is a new car and also happened to my old myvi as well.

Range not really accurate. If your trip A or B, full until blinking, how much?

Try have the range reset and let it calculate again.

You might need to have your car service like spark plug, filter, throttle clean if needed.

Yup, try reset every time after refuel. Can do like bro kiefer said, also check your atf

My stock alza battery lasted exactly one year. (39k km)
The symptoms are ignition sound weird, inaccurate fuel range. (It shows 2 bar when its actually 4 or 5 bar)
I ask Sc, they knew it. Do u have this symptoms as well? Go to sc or anywhere u trust!

mine battery last for 1.5 years, the ignition sound doesn't sound so energetic, like not powerful enough, but the fuel gauge seems ok, i rarely drive it so i have no idea on the fuel gauge accuracy. but i din hear any complain from my bro who's the driver so i presume it's ok.

so what sc did to improve this? did they do any improvements to your alza? i ask outside mechanic, their advise is slam in grounding cable.

I just changed to a new battery today. I will update the status and see how.

I'm a newbie here.
I have a big problem with my Alza which i like to share here and seek for advice at the same time.

i bought a 1.5 AT alza in 2011 which i rarely drive, mileage is only 18K to date.

Recently, there is an indication on dashboard showing "AT" whenever i drive. But its unpredictable when will the indication shows up. Its totally random.
Whenever it appears, i have to restart my car to make it disappear, otherwise it will feels like its not accelerating as if the gear doesnt switch to the next level. I also tried driving without aircon on, and its ok, the AT is not showing.

2 days ago, i finally send it over to p2 SC for a check up.
The report said "valve body problem cod P0743-Lock Up solenoid system malfunction."
and it cost RM5,882.70 for this parts.

I have not agree the replacement and I wonder if any Sifu here have heard about this problem and mind to share what other solution i can go for a try? before i spend so much for a car that i only drives occasionally.

When the last time you change alza atf. Try change your atf and atf filter first

I got this once back in 2014... Went to SC but they couldn't diagnose the problem... I ended up selling off the car for fear of a recurring gearbox problem... My Alza already tukar gearbox once back in 2011...

Check your alza driveshaft

As what Cleaner said...driveshaft could be the issue as the 'knuckle' may have worn out.

AT....it could be the connection / wire from ECU to gearbox having issue. check that part first or change that wire first if not expensive.

Some myvi having this issue and changing the wire sort it out.

I guess one of your signal bulb defects if u relate to signal. If not, probably drive shaft bye bye

Which generation of myvi has this problem...? 1st gen or Lagi Best...?
