CVT is good for smoothness, fuel efficient... but not sure if with high torque engine or rough driving.

I did not know CVT has clutch or torque converter. I heard it from one owner (friend), his one is 4th Gen City.

yea, clutch type, proton wanna move to torque converter cvt in the future, and yea, cvt is not meant for spirited driving, the belt gonna wear more, and the cvt fluid gonna heat up. and every gearbox have their torque loading limitation, cvt also not excluded.

proton cvt is not premium brand, but the service fee is premium, RM200 for CVTF (alza only RM7x for ATF), then filter cost about RM400+ (not sure, my friend driving preve told me), cvtf filter gasket. save fuel also cannot cover the extra expenses lost in maintenance.

mmmm not for long term as maintenance so high... it seems higher than kimchi.

with this price, not good for long term plus for 'retiring' soon ppl like me... how to tahan, somemore local car.
Even try go to some 'value for money workshop' they might not know how to fix it.

Alza not the best car, but overall it is good i would say. No push start, no hill-climb assist, blind-spot thing, etc etc...hehehe... even have all this, most malaysian tak pakai pun... hehehehe..you know how malaysian drivers nowadays. Trained by idiots, tested by idiots = idiot lo..

Then my next service (60k) will cost a bomb Liao! Haha!

Want to ask, AT got timing belt or not? When is the change interval?

well, so far for me, i would say alza is the best thing available, not in terms of spec, but in terms of value for money, it's a 5 seater, can be a 7 seven seater, or turn it into cargo loader. my alza been through all these configs.

yea, without those fancy electronic safety feature does make it a bit lose out, but when you slam in those things, the price will get jacked up and you will going to have headache when issue arise.

on the maintenance side, overall perodua cars cost lesser to maintain compared to proton cars. and the fuel consumption of P2 cars are better than Proton cars. You wouldn't believe that my alza FL auto is having better FC than my house saga BLM manual. In fact it is, 12km/l vs 10.5km/l. Maybe saga clutch starts to worn out thus the higher fc.

but in the end, there's no car is so called "the best", there's only cars that fit your needs and you budget. my ideal car is cheap, less quality issue, versatile, nice ride and handling, fuel saving. Obviously, neither alza nor exora or saga fulfills my criteria. tongue.gif

Nope, that one sp, d3-sp as per pic but in 1 ltr bottle.

Alza using dexron3 (d3), d3-sp is improvement from d3

Also you can use aisin atf afw/afw+. Now me using this atf

Hi Cleaner,
I search many ahpek sparepart shop in penang and can't find d3-sp atf oil.
All the shop instead is selling D-Sp3 atf oil and claimed to be similar.
I'm confuse...

BTW, where do you buy D3-SP atf oil as your thread?
While for AISIN AFW+, they are selling 4 Lit for RM115.

Bro, stick to d3 enough already since it cheaper and easier to get.

D3-sp is enhanced version from d3. Even spare part shop also dunno that sp3 and d3 are different spec
