Alza thread has been quiet..
I just got my SE silver for 3 days.
FC I think still ok despite break-in period
(Maybe quite similar to Myvi)
Highway is stable
Change to Xm2 195/55 straightaway on 1st day
Aircon is cold even in the day
But need time to get used to the foot brake
And also adjust seat forward/backward

I top up 160 per donut (incl A/B)
My family members feedback the ride is quiet =)
As they use more often than me.
I changed from stock m5 due to the negative feedbacks from here. Never regret. =)

Aircon is cold even under hot sun, after 5 mins. =)
Next I will try sit at second row to see if it's cold enough

Good decision to change the tyres.

Aircond is good even for 2nd row seat.  If it angled correctly, it reaches the 3rd row too.

If possible, do add a pollen filte aka aircond filter.  Paper type is just around rm10 while charcoal type rm40 i think.
*
Hi Kiefer,

Is it that stock has no pollen filter or one filter isn't enough? Cos I dun understand why so fast need to change.. And, during which mileage is recommend to change to iridium spark plugs?

Pls enlighten me, thanks..

Hi guys, ask a tyre shop in pg to trade in my new m5 tyres for xm2 i need to top up 480. How is the deal? Ok?
*
It's rm160 cheaper than mine! Does the price include A/B? I suggest you check the manufacturing date. (Mine was 3314).

What model you chose? Do share your thoughts after you drive~

Dear Alza owners,

as i was changing my interior bulb earlier, the lights suddenly went off. suspect it was due to the electricity overload and caused one of the fuse broke. i've check the fuse box in the engine bay and behind the glove box but no burnt fuse was found. can any owners enlighten me how to repair my issue? now the boot light, middle interior light and both of the map light does not work.

thank you.
*
I guess it's a wiring problem, coz I have same problem with my 2006 kelisa(mine is service shop chg signal lamp)
Then fuse blow. They fix the signal issue, but now my radio and clock auto reset after every engine start.
I will find a accessories shop as they are more proficient in wiring and suggest u to do the same.

Cheers

I'm using Xm2
I never use ss m5 before
So I dunno how big is the performance difference
Glad that u enjoy your tyres
How about the Alza itself? Comfort? Handling? Fuel save?
It's been a month since I receive it but I don't have chance yet to try it for long distance.

Alza is good for city driving, comfortable on flat road. But handling quite crappy, springs are too soft.
I have added 4 pcs of spring buffer to improve abit.
Fuel consumption still high at 11L/100km although i have run in the engine at 6k rpm on the 1st day. After 2 weeks the fuel consumption improve slowly.
*
I didn't whack the alza till now. Max 3k rpm😉
Mind to share how is it after install spring buffer?
What's the cost?

To all sifu,

Anyone modified their standard/SE to multimedia+roof player+reverse camera? Which brand is recommended and what's the damage?

Thanks

Stela: you quite a heavy traveller man..bro ur side and lower bar will improve on the comfort and bouncy too or not? Im comparing stiff ring and this because around the price range..any view?

Tank: mine too 2014 March batch..I notice sound from outside is prominent...im comparing 55 or 60 and cdrive2 or xm2...how is ur review on xm2 bro?
*
sorry I can't give you much review because I don't push my Alza to the limit..
Anyway, on highway at 110km/h (RPM only 2k) cabin feel quiet and stable as I don't hear noises from outside or below and minimum vibration even passing by trailer.
I only change the stock tyres, no other modification.
I am satisfied with the Alza and XM2.

There's few things you need to double check, it could be other source of noise too if your myvi also got same problem.

First detach your glove box compartment from your dashboard, 2nd test it in a multi story indoor car park with window down.

Test it when you pass through a speed hump, and either going up or down of the ramp to another level of the car park to identify the noise. (the ramp usually have bump grip groove which your car will be bumpy when pass through)

When you found the source of the noise, ask some one to record it in video then show it to SC. Some time it takes them a few check only they find the problem, so this is to help speed things up a little. I did it with my driver seat power window regulator issue as during cold days or rainy days the window made lot of noise when going upwards or downwards.
I told them the issue via phone they ask me check this la check that la, right up to the service center also they said it could be dirt and etc until I beh tahan i show the front desk and the mechanic the video, then they "Oooooo!!!Ni masalah regulator!!! ok kita tukar FOC."
*
Bro your regulator lasted how long?
Warranty period for that part is?
How much is it for the racing bar/fender/window visor?
Thank you..

Not as noisy as m5 and better traction...not easy skid as before but if you have extra moolah... ps3 is way to go

If my mileage around 20k km per year...i would buy ps3...but since my mileage around 60k km per year...cannot tahan ha ha
*
Wow 60k per year. You service every 5 or 10k?
After warranty already? any mod?
Mind to share how long your tyre lasted? Thanks..
I'm from jb too..

I am driving 1.5cc Accent, wish to change to alza due on my height too tall, MPV type will give me more comfort while driving.

As long the car not underpower so much, i can still accept since it as MPV car, family car.

Anyhow, the car is underpower compare to almera? as kerb weight for alza is 1160 vs almera 1045 kg, extra 115kg and alza' torque power only at 136 Nm at 4,400 rpm vs almera 139 Nm at 4,400 rpm.
agree, as it more heavy with 1.5cc engine, btw will it really slow like turtle, underpower? as i might travel karak highway frequently, i hate such turtle speed on uphill, as long it still can manage around 80kmh i am fine  icon_rolleyes.gif
So many stuff to change?  rclxub.gif  I hv limited budget. will it fine i only change it when tyres ans suspension gone?

As i read tru this pages, most of users complaint on bumpy absorber, roof too noisy, engine noisy if speed 110-130kmh, any idea Perodua fix the issue for latest version?
*
I have a 2014 facelift version, my observation is no soundproof problem as compare to previous version. sometimes, acceleration is comparable to myvi. when it's not, it's a bit slow for pick up, traffic light or spirited drive.

added spring buffer to front and back. It improved the handling just a bit. Going over hump wont bounce 2 times like before. I bought the buffer online and installed them myself. Total is RM50+. Anyway its a cheap investment cant really expect much.

The better way is to upgrade the suspension system. But please DO NOT buy GAB products !!
This week fuel consumption drop to 10.4L/100km.
