Car is 3 month old. I think the way they design the air conditioner cannot do much with the roomier alza and it do took a long time to reach a comfortable level during afternoon.

Check your pollen filter first, maybe clogged already

What colour you buy? i buy mystery purple having same issue, the cool level have to set up 2/3 to get enough cool
Colour play important role on absorb heat

i set aircond level to high (which is not recommended by my SA, donno why). at night it was easy to be cool, but in the afternoon, it will take a long long time to have a comfortable level, like 15-30 minutes depending on the heat outside.

Hi guys,

Just to mention I have made some progress into the Myvi/Alza OBD2 project - gearbox sensors are readable now including ATF temperature, gear position, activation of lock-up clutch and solenoid conditions/voltages.

To those who have already bought it, I will post the update at my site soon, where you can just follow the instructions. Will announce when ready smile.gif

Just to follow up.. any progress on this? what OBD2 you using? Which model as many out there, most said not for alza

All engine sensors have been captured, and the gearbox is still WIP (due to the app's limitation of displaying data rather than the sensor capturing process itself).

All are readable, but the Torque app does not support enumerated values at the moment which makes reading certain values from the app difficult. I'm working with the developer on this to see what can be done.

It could possibly work, but I cannot guarantee whether it would be compatible nor I would offer any support as there are various suppliers for that tool, which its internals might be different. With my tool that I can very well assure that it works on your Alza.

i agree, colour is very important, my house saga BLM purple colour, hot like oven!! alza & myvi silver, though hot but won't feel like oven. lucky is proton have a damn good aircond, set to quarter, on for full blast, 3 minutes, settle, cool.

bro, like bro cleaner says, check your pollen filter. and one thing, by design, perodua aircond compressor are not powerful enough to cool down the car especially in the hot sunny days, it is a well known fact. this is why perodua cars are more fuel saving compared to proton as the compressor sips less power from the engine, i think not switching the aircond to max is to prevent the wires to get overheated (i think), my friend have a myvi, one day he set full blast full cold, then he smell a bit of burn plastic smell, aircond still blowing though, he switch to lower setting, smell gone.
what i can recommend you is.... use it, use til you wanna replace the compressor (if you still driving it), ask whether can change to avanza compressor or not. i think it helps a bit, but.... your fuel bill gonna hurt.

hi
compared to my myvi 1.5, the aircond is more comfortable and easy to cool. i think it's the size of the car problem. they are using the same air cond but alza is more wider and it doesn't have side aircond vent. i try directing the vent to blow past the driver seat and focus blowing the back and it improved but not by a lots.

alza is not wider, but more volume to cool that i can't deny, but the design is compensated with a bigger condenser and most likely a more powerful blower. i think compressor should be the same though. side vent? you mean those like exora type? tarak la.... yea, you need to direct the centre ones to blow towards behind so that the air can cool down the cabin, generally i don't have much issue with it, or maybe i'm not very picky on aircond coldness.

Just a friendly reminder to 2014 FL owners, your ATF volume is 2.9, not 2.2 like the old version ones, my bro send the alze FL for 40k service last saturday, i wanna do long trip tomorrow so i check up every fluids, coolant level dropped in reservoir due to replace new coolant, ATF level wasn't at the position it should, check back the service chit, DAMN! Perodua ATF D3SP (2.20L), son of a ...... And the service centre is not Perodua authorised service centre but direct Perodua SC! I thought i can trust them since they are Perodua direct, god knows..... they screw things up.
