wahhh...v13 already..just back from 'remmmpitt' at FITA. sadly, my dyna hawk gx cowls got crash at the cover lock
 i just found that, it hard to push speed using super xx chasis compare to s2. maybe the sxx that i have use gain more weight + carbon chasiss compare to s2.. btw dasa, is it carbon wheel not good compare to the plastic one?  |

Woohoo new thread.
Anyway, I have a question. Is it okay for the rear rollers not to be aligned, For example stock AR chassis rear bumper has 2 holes for screws. Is it okay to the top and bottom roller using different set of holes? In the end, 1 about 3mm in front of the other? |

What i mean is, smooth bearing is one of the important thing plus with roller positioning.. What u said is true but u cant 100 % compare it with real cars.. Normal car load forced the weight down to earth.. Tamiya Mini 4wd car load is forced to the track wall during cornering.. I have try the bearing with no lube, re lube a little bit and original factory lubricant.. The result is vary... But if u said sound like grinding, the bearing memang KAPUT dee.. I also have experienced new bearing from packaging KAPUT too.. hahaha Its my 2 cents bro.. Sharing my opinion only.. I like your statement too about ur way of thinking.. |

I've got the 2 standard plate (front & rear) mounted... What else should I get? Engine? Ball bearings? Gears? Please help |

there will be big different for copper brush, before and after break in.

I use MS. most of them use Super 2. my God...their Super 2 are one hell of a speed demon even with my Mach Dash (tuned), still can't beat most the racers' (that were using Super 2) car. which is why I cannot proceed to Top 50. empat kali kalah dengan Super 2's  but I think it depends on the racer jugak la. Lol, I reach there at 11.10pm TUTUP already. aiyoh. haha. I thought i read somewhere say they sometimes quite late, so went there to try my luck.
Looks like my mini 4wd is going to stay virgin for a few more days. |

hi guys.. any idea where can i get a blue print or tutorial for making japanese FRP car? i've been looking all over the web but only pictures of them come out.. i've been looking this thread a few version back and still only pictures available.. and sad to hear that david is no more amongst us.. haven't got the chance for a reunion after last met him more or less 11 years ago when he still have a shop in SS15 subang.. used to play there.. i did saw him in TU but i tot someone else because he looks so thin.. until i found him in here a few thread back and confirm that it was him..

Anybody knows if this rim
 ... is the same one as in the Avante V Special?  or do they have different shade with the V Special actually in deep solid black color and the one with red tires are more greyish? like in pictures the color can be tricky so I just want to make sure. I have the V Special, but missing the rims only (also came without shafts and gears, but no biggie) |

I saw a rat in my house so we went and korek it out then I found my mini4wd in one of the box. I think this is like 12 years old liao. Back then still a little student, can't afford to upgrade much. hehe
See the car body also become kuning kuning and filled with dust.

a quick question
i'm using MA chassis + atomic + stock height (original wheels with superhard tires) my car flies a little bit after a slope that follows with a corner. if possible i don't want to make my car heavier yet, so should i just adjust the brake clearance first? i'm using the AR brake set |

Next week speed houz lak YEEEHHHAAA !! Toa cheng..apa bikin td? BTW, managed to do up to top 32 only last night at TU race. The car was quite subtle with the performance in earlier stages. Later the speed gone insane with the fresh Philips battery sponsored by TU. The car jumps straight to the spectators liao! Some pictas.. My car on the night before the race. Back to KLIMS 2013 setup.  My friend's fresh Super II also for the race.  He's already got a spot as he's the runner up in KLIMS 2013 stock car race. While waiting for Aci to do inspection on the top 64 cars.    My car's battery clip snapped in one of the qualifying runs. That's why the car got taped all around.. Track layout.. Looks easy right? You won't know until you run your car in there..  Although didn't make it up to the higher level, it was a really fun race. Next week Speed Houz punya race tak dapat join. Our track here in Miri.
Yesterday we had a technical race tournament, but I totally forgot to take picture of the whole layout The basic layout was similar only that we moved a few slopes and made more continuous jumps, and also added jump limiter too. My car already set up but didn't manage to race because I had gastric in the morning  And it was jam packed here yesterday... this is only from inside the shop. atomic tune stock brass pinion causes my counter gear teeth to wear out. anybody experiencing the same? i think i want to change to carbon pinions instead.

I'm so pissed with screwing stuffs, especially when screwing an underguard + plate + roller + weights etc. Seriously thinking of buying an electrical screwdriver next month. I've read around, seems that for such work, a low torque one is a better choice. Maybe next month jalan2 at Ace Hardware near Ikea to see the prices.

I mean no disrespect to Soulfly. but just to clear the air;
when I asked how to tune the SXX, I meant how to set up. what parts (are recommended) to buy, where to place it and which part of FRP to cut, dampers settings, brake types and adjustment etc. preferably kalau ada picture lagi bagus. senang. I am asking this to those who have experience in SXX in races. SXX is different due to the wider wheelbase and a more lowered setting (like you cant place a SXX cowl on a S2, VS, TZ, TZ-X without modding the chassis or the body) sebab cowl dia dah rendah. kalau setakat suruh beli or tengok SXX Evo1, any Tom d*** and Harry can tell me the same stuff no hard feelings, yo |

One person may do different set up and still get the same result as others. Different track layout may require different setup altogether. If you're asking for a specific setup, then I can't answer to that of course. But my friend who uses SXX for quite a while only use the chassis for semi-tech stuffs, aluminium rollers with rubbers and high front stabilizing poles. more dampers on the front than rear to make the nose dive after a jump (well, basically very similar with most, if not all rear motor chassis). Super XX is best for technical and semi tech tracks. Usage of roller front and rear with rubber rings is recommended. More weight up front is recommended too since the motor is at the back (it is better to have the front end fall 1st after jumps). I might start building my Super XX after i'm done with my MA for the Speed Houz 28th December race (if i'm entering it lah). Thinking of a way to do a custom front end + side hanging damper for the Super XX.

Hello all, just started playing this around 2 weeks ago...
Im planning to enter races.... looks enjoyable.. Now I have 3 minis... Super 1 (Beak Spider), Super 2 (Super Emperor), and Super FM (Brocken G Black Edition)... Im more interested to play FM chassis, but seeing the chassis, there is not many holes for customization... Any useful links to give for a newbie like me? Thanks... ^^ |

I noticed that there are some normal edition kits (18xxx or 19xxx) come with plated or clear bodies. Are these random?
I know some kits are labelled with stickers on the box (silver plated, gold plated, black plated), but I've also seen those without labels too. |

hi guys. can someone school me on countering bridge LC? I have the speed but my car will fly off when passing the bridge LC. Some said need to do angle on the rollers. I have the red color angle adjust thingy but not really sure which to use... thanks in advance!

From far back, tooks almost 30 minutes until your turn.. Next, Speed Houz time attack. Current time is 11.96 with that Super II. Best time I think is still the 11.60 by Shah Pro. hye all sifu, just found my jet dash motor back when i use to play as kid. planning to buy a new chassis to house this motor back.
can emperor use this motor? what is the advantage of super-II chassis? I read in tamiya web its good for speed and cornering. Isn't that the most important thing in race? why i see alot use AR chassis? |

I am unsure whether I should continue back the old hobby. Not having enough time doing so. Anyhow is there by chance that some of these Tamiya models can be sold? What is the estimated price. It was about more than 10 years ago I did bought them, so I am unclear how is the market value nowadays. NOTE: I decided to keep them after pondering my family members' opinion. To whom it may concern..
I am sorry. I decided to keep these Tamiya mini4wds after talking to family members. I understood that they are no longer produced anymore. Even Avante is dated back to 1990. My mum said better keep for future son of mine lah... Perhaps I will be going to GM Klang where the Tamiya shop located.. so I will be getting spare parts to make them run again. |

Hi everyone..
I don't know where to start and how am i gonna do.. when i buy some AR chassis..and do some homework..which mean how it work..what should i buy.. i have 1 set AR chassis.. 1 motor hyper dash 2 japan cup 2013.. 1 setting gear set ( for AR chassis ) next i want to buy some bearing to fit beside my 4 wheel tyre..there are some small bearing beside wheel rite?.. is it hex hole bearing or round hole bearing?? what difference between this two bearing..there are some guy tell me that hex hole bearing actually not good compare to round hole bearing.. =__=" for me as new guy here in this tamiya 4wd mini world..this is what im thinking...i don't have guide out there,..plz give me some opinion or advice.. nice to meet u all still here.. when we said about tamiya 4wd mini..it all about setting rite? |
