In process of learning to tune a Super XX chassis for technical setup, and at the same, build a MA chassis for the upcoming Speed Houz race ( long jump + super climb circuit ala Japan Cup 2013 track ).

I'm so pissed with screwing stuffs, especially when screwing an underguard + plate + roller + weights etc. Seriously thinking of buying an electrical screwdriver next month. I've read around, seems that for such work, a low torque one is a better choice. Maybe next month jalan2 at Ace Hardware near Ikea to see the prices. sad.gif

Super XX is best for technical and semi tech tracks. Usage of roller front and rear with rubber rings is recommended. More weight up front is recommended too since the motor is at the back (it is better to have the front end fall 1st after jumps). I might start building my Super XX after i'm done with my MA for the Speed Houz 28th December race (if i'm entering it lah). Thinking of a way to do a custom front end + side hanging damper for the Super XX.

I prefer to have the front lands first because the front wheel will land and starts to propel the machine, and when the rear tire lands next, it'll push the machine further. 4wd mah! Hehehe!

Dang it. Sunday's race by Ampang tamiya held at LTP.

Chassis used was MA. Mach Dash. 12-13mm roller front with 1.5mm HG plate. Front underside guard. Side mass damper used was the AR HG side plate with I think 4 gram dampers. Rear end : MA sliding damper with 19mm rollers with plastic ring, underside was 13mm ringless roller (so that when the top side roller contacts with the track wall, the 13mm roller will guide it.

1st time attack : fly off at LC (LC was near the last corner bfr starting area)

2nd time attack : changed to Light Dash. Added more weight at the side with 2.5gram dampers on each side. Flew away after the 2nd jump.

3rd time attack : changed to Hyper Dash. Added those 4 gram weights on each side (near the wheels) on the front plate. Flew off again after landing from jump and the left rear screw hole for the 13mm roller broke!

Is it because I added more weight to the car?

Nice idea on reinforcing the front bumper of your Super II! Got myself both the Vanguard Sonic and Victory Magnum Super II carbon reinforced chassis version. Gonna do one of them for semi speed whilst the Gun Bluster Cusco Special might be modded for a hybrid semi speed + speed tech machine.

But my hobby tools have arrived! RotaCraft mini rotary tool, Olfa Hobby Saw, Olfa Pro Knife and G-Temple Super Sharp side cutter! Hhmmm. Should I focus on my Project Alpha MA Chassis?

Italian setup for rollers is standard 6 rollers max.
