Buy at your own risk.. the color will fade in the long run... if u are budget, I got vessolar (llumar housebrand) much more reputable than those outside and quality control.. can PM me if interested.. |

Ray tech is complete rubbish....
Wasted my money on them. 3m in the middle. Not very good after a year or two. Huper or Vkool de best, but if you go for HIGH IR/heat rejection Smarttag sometimes got problem on some of the same toll lane barriers, consistently. Have to open window and wave ur tag. |

QUOTE(momo-sang @ Dec 4 2013, 02:35 PM) Hi all, Ray tech is rubbish. This is a version2 of the "HOT TOPIC" that we had discussed for the past few years. Thanks all the supports who had actively utilized this open forum as a discussion stage. Please continue from this thread. By the way, we had active forumers on Raytech, Huper Optic, 3M and VKool. Do come in and discussion here. Thanks! 1st Thread: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/418792/+3020 Summary: 1. Raytech, V-Kool, 3M are good in heat rejection. As long as it is original products. Beware of imitation products in the market. Raytech Official Website V-Kool Official Website 3M Local Distributor 2. Front Windscreen Films are very important where the most important thing is that housebrand can't compete with huge brands like Raytech Ultra70, V-Kool Elite or 3M Crystaline 70. 3. Beware of house brand in the market. Go to the window film specialist outlets to seek for more advice. 4. Always seek for warranty card for consumer rights and privilege after investing in car tinting. Owner seller and his sales man team... say what u wanna say la.... You’re better off with 3M which will last you a year if u park it outside in the sun all the time ... or splurge and get vkool or huper. But be prepared to open ur window and wave tag when tag reader says no smart tag at the usual problematic lane barriers. When using only the top tier tints. Bought a civic. SA offer Raytech tint for RM900 after RM500 discount voucher.
Is it good deal? Or there is better tint out there? |

Got a civic
Lets say I have a budget of RM2k for the tint. I can possible go RM3k, but it's stretching it. What do most people go for here ? Just want to know my options. Can I get 3M Crystalline for around RM2.5k ? I have read the Llumar and Hamel are good tint options also. Anyone can comment on Hamel? Open to V-kool options also |

QUOTE(wildan03 @ Dec 15 2018, 08:55 PM) Bought a civic. SA offer Raytech tint for RM900 after RM500 discount voucher. This kind of discount voucher given by SA is nearly useless in my opinion. It's because they will apply the discount voucher to the list price. In general, if you go to the tint shop directly you can always get discount off the list price and it might be even more than the voucher! Is it good deal? Or there is better tint out there? Anyway, Raytech AX is their budget range of security tint. Of course there are better tint out there, but you will have to pay more for it. |

QUOTE(wiind @ Dec 17 2018, 01:56 PM) Hi guys, need some advises here. Is it normal for the tint to show some blue-ish color like this? The dealer is claiming it to be the UV effect. The tint might not be fully cure yet![]() How long since the 1st installation? It could be affected by the color film and windows as well |

Raytech MX - RM 1,980 (59% VLT, 56% TSER)
Huper Optik Ceramic 50S - RM 1,850 (52% VLT, 50% TSER) VKool Elite (FWS) + REM 38 - RM 1,800 Llumar TCP 6 - RM 1,650 (50% VLT, 50% TSER) What would you choose? For heat rejection mainly. My friends and family all seem to like Raytech but I don't see much recommendations for it here. |
