QUOTE(geniousboy @ Dec 11 2018, 09:10 AM) Hi. those super cheap tints are normally used for applying 2nd layer of darknessMay i know what is the average standard cost for a reputable tint brand for a sedan? 500-1k? Or >1k? I saw too many shops selling tint film at 99, 199, 299, etc.. how bad are those tints? high quality tints are usually 30% VLT at most (70% darkness) For some ppl, like me, feel that is not enough, so we have to add another layer on top of it, which is the super cheap tint to achieve the desired darkness (95% darkness for me) |

QUOTE(I'm V-Kool @ Dec 12 2018, 04:58 PM) His experience is speaking the truth because to reduce the cost as the purpose of the 2nd layer is to make it darker when will v-kool produces darker tints? For example you did V-Kool Elite on 1st layer and 2nd layer use cheap dark film will last longer even it is double layer REMEMBER do not put high end window film on top of cheap film all my cars been using v-kool for the past 15 years, hopefully something darker can be released soon |

QUOTE(QuickFire @ Dec 17 2018, 10:36 PM) Raytech MX - RM 1,980 (59% VLT, 56% TSER) vkoolHuper Optik Ceramic 50S - RM 1,850 (52% VLT, 50% TSER) VKool Elite (FWS) + REM 38 - RM 1,800 Llumar TCP 6 - RM 1,650 (50% VLT, 50% TSER) What would you choose? For heat rejection mainly. My friends and family all seem to like Raytech but I don't see much recommendations for it here. |

WTA:
I have 2 layers of tint now, I would like to remove only the 2nd layer tint, which is the outer tint only. Is it doable? I plan to remove the 2nd layer tint then reinstall a darker 2nd-layer tint. Aiming for 95% darkness, 5% VLT |

QUOTE(ayamxxx @ Jan 14 2019, 05:40 PM) Not to say worship, but at least give us the details. What is the tint tser, irr vlt percentage etc. If ur budget is around 3k, I'd recommend V-KoolWhat is warranty coverage, how many years etc. All are not disclose for potential buyer. Workmanship at shop also not sure. Only know the spec is rm3299 been using it for 10~15 years for all my cars |
